All of that hardware abuse and you didn't even hit your daughter or clamp her fingers between a door. Pavlov has already proven troublesome kids can be trained towards faithful obedience.
What kind of soft society is this? |
Next week is killer...
Mario Kart (2 copies) Sonic Rush Snowboard Kids Bust-A-move....Ugh. |
Mario Kart and Sonic Rush are must haves for me. Viewtiful Joe and Tony Hawk I'll try at EB and see how they play.
|
I got my blue DS the week the new color came out. No problems here. Though due to the nature of the stylus and my paranoia, this is the first and only system i've ever gotten the replacement plan, it was only $20 at BB for 2 years, and they'll swap it with a new one if it starts malfunctioning or wears down or scratched, but Nintendo usually builds their stuff like tanks.
Killer week is right, I'm definitely getting Mario Kart and Sonic Rush. |
Mario Kart 4 sure. Not question about it. Also looking forward to Mario & Luigi.
I haven't really liked a Sonic game since the first one for Dreamcast. That one and the first three for Genesis. But, I really just can't get into them anymore. Don't ask me why. ... and where the hell is the new Super Mario Bros. DS? They have been teasing us with this game for over a year and a half. I miss the old days of Mario Bros. 3 and Mario World and it will be nice to get back into a game like that. Several others I will be trying out too. The DS is finally getting games for it. It was pretty dry for a long time. I know since I bought the system when it first came out. Going back, I would have waited until now to buy one for the price difference. Only because it didn't really get much use until lately. |
New Super Mario Bros DS is coming out in 2006.

I was looking for the Pink DS Nintendogs bundle for my Daughter, for Christmas, and it seems most places only carry the teal version. I then checked Amazon and ebay and people want $200 or more for this bundle? $50 more than the teal version? WTH? Did Nintendo have a limited production on the pink ones or something?
|
Pink DS units should be readily available at Toys R Us.

The pink version is only at Toys R Us and Target. I picked one up at Target last week (they were slow to come in) so hit the phones and keep looking. |
More and more I'm so glad I bought a DS, MPH is looking SICK! Im definately getting Mario Kart next week, when does Bust a Move come out?

I think I might be waiting for Christmas for Mario Kart and Mario and Luigi 2. I'm just finishing Castlevania and I'm still only halfway through Phoenix Wright and Advance Wars: DS. I'm dying for Mario Kart, though. Argh!

Mario Kart makes the pain go away. I...can't...wait.

Speaking of AC:
Nintendo DS: Nintendo to Distribute Wi-Fi Animal Crossing Presents Wi-Fi network really is one big party. By Billy Kirk - 11-09-05 Print Email Nintendo has announced that their upcoming Animal Crossing title for the DS, Wild World, will feature special letters sent by the Big N themselves to the players via the Wi-Fi connection. Although gamers can choose not to receive the letters by switching that option to off via the telephone in their Animal Crossing room, when enabled players will receive the letters which will yield special, exclusive content. According to a presentation at the Nintendo Press Summit last week, the letters will likely include presents that simply won't be attainable in the game any other way. In addition, it was mentioned that Nintendo could also separate letters by user types; there could be letters sent to all players, letters sent only to those who have linked their Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection account with their My Nintendo account on Nintendo's website, or even letters to, for example, Nintendo Power magazine subscribers. In other Animal Crossing news, Nintendo has revealed that the odd, whiteboard-faced cat Blanca - seen before in AC during train rides - will spawn up randomly in different towns, complete with a face drawn by another gamer in another town. While it is unknown as to whether Blanca can be modified by players globally or solely by people on your friends list, Nintendo has confirmed that they plan to post the Blanca facial art on their official website. NNOW will have more on Animal Crossing: Wild World as it breaks, as well as news on the DS's other hot upcoming Wi-Fi compatible games. |
Speaking of Animal Crossing, does anyone know if you will be allowed more than one gamesave per cartridge? I am guessing that you will not be able to and that I may need to buy two copies for me and my wife.
|
Animal Crossing allows multiple players on a single card, but you live in the same town. That's how the original was, and I believe that's how the DS version will be. The only difference I heard though is that you all live in the same house this time.

IGN has their review for Sonic Rush up.
9.0 Closing Comments Sonic Rush is an extremely polished DS title. It does a great job offering a fantastic, energetic old-school challenge that keeps the classic gaming style alive. Though the market's moved on to 3D platformers which, admittedly, affords developers more opportunity for variety in their designs, this game does evolves the original Sonic style wonderfully by combining contemporary technology with fresh and new gameplay mechanics. And it's tough as nails. If Mario Kart DS gets over a 9.0, the DS is without a doubt one of the greatest systems for gamers with a constant flow of grade A titles, so much now that its hard to even keep up :). |
MK got rated yesterday...and got a 9.5.
Viewtiful Joe also came out this week as well, Ugh. Its $30 at Best Buy |

The DS has turned into one of the best gaming platforms I have ever owned. Sonic Rush will probably end up being a lot better than Shadow the Hedgehog and Mario Kart DS looks to be "the" online game of 2005. Combine that with how great recent titles like Castlevania, Phoenix Wright, Advanced Wars and Trauma Center turned out this is really my favorite piece of hardware right now. I'm still playing some of the great GBA games out now on it too. |

I agree. With all this software available now and upcoming and the extensive GBA library available the DS really is one of the best gaming platforms of all time.
I wonder how that Blanca thing will turn out in AC. I don't think I want a cat with a penis for a face wandering around my town. |
