Here are my official rules

2. Rounds will begin every 24 hours at 11 AM EST (excluding weekends). The DVDTalk server clock will be the official timekeeper, so watch your timestamps! Any picks made outside the official time will be ignored. You'll need to repost them within the correct time frame.

3. For each round, players can draft one video game for one console or portable system (for example: “Super Mario Bros. – NES”).

4. Once everybody has drafted 10 video games, we’ll have a bracket tournament. You’ll be randomly paired up, and the forum will vote on who has the best collection.

5. Restrictions:

a. You can only draft two video games per system.

b. Computer games are ineligible

c. Compilation games are ineligible. Compilation games are defined as games in which there is no default game to play as opposed to games where additional games are available as special features.

d. You cannot draft a video game that as already been drafted by drafting a “special edition” of that album and vice versa. (for example: If a contestant has drafted “Doom 3 CE - XBox”, you cannot draft “Doom 3 - XBox”). The same game can be drafted for different systems, however.

e. Game must be released at time of selection. Release dates are determined by gamestop.com.

6. The field will be limited to 16 players. If we do not reach 16 contestants, there may be several players who receive a “bye” in the first round of voting.

7. If you miss two rounds in a row, you may be replaced with an alternate. Alternates will enter the game in a "first come, first serve" fashion when this occurs, and will "inherit" the existing collection. But once a game is taken there are no circumstances where it will be reentered in the pool.

8. SPECIAL NOTE: This game will take approximately two weeks to play (weekdays only). Please do not sign up if you don’t think you can play the entire time.

9. Draft picks will be tracked in the second post of this thread.

10. After all the “collections” have been drafted, the bracket tourney will begin, and continue for four rounds until we have a grand champion.

11. Good Luck!
I'm going to allow it if people want to draft various versions of Street Fighter 2 or whatever for simplicity's sake. I will also be participating in the draft. Look for the thread at around 10:55 AM EST today but don't post until the timestamp hits 11:00 EST.

Sweet, will do. As a side note, I've made a list of 57 games spanning 7 systems and am guessing they'll all be gone within 6 or 7 rounds. I think this one might be a bit tougher to select draft picks than the music one.
