I have been playing this online on my 360 for the past 4 days and love it. The lag only comes into play when there is a match with 7 or 8 people getting started. The game just can't seem to handle that many people. So if you are about to join a match that has 7-8 people, just go back to the menu screen and find a different one. Playing with 5-6 people works great. My only problem with the live portion of the game is that it sometimes spawns you right in the middle of three people, so you have about a second to hide before you get sniped. That kinda sucks. I also don't like how people sometimes don't die when I snipe then from up close, even when I see blood shoot out from where I hit them!!! Other then that, the game workd fine for me.

But this is next generation. 7-8 people should not be a problem. Halo 2 had 16. Hell this is a war game, how do you fight a war with 4 people on each side? This game should sport 32-50 human opponents easy. They screwed the pooch big time. BUT the one player game more than makes up for it.
Interesting article at IGN about the LIVE play. They seem to think Activision is working on a fix for all the problems.

I love the 360 game, but LIVE needs work. Half the time my mic does not work, so I cannot communicate to anyone...unless I'm missing something.
Lag seemed a bit better as of late...they really need to have a patch though, hopefully expand it to 12-16 players also

I have been online a few times and I have been dropped everytime, the last time with 12 seconds left. The bad thing is it reports me at 100% left early in my rep screen. I just wish they had a coop/mission option online, I guess I will just have to wait on Ghost Recon.

I don't have a 360 but I can't imagine multiplayer games limited to what, 8 players? Multiplayer is great as always on the PC, except the one time I joined a server with 15 people and everybody was camped at a sniping spot... I swear nothing happened for a good 3 minutes

Sure I like to snipe once in a while but I'd rather be on the move with a M1 Garand or MP 40. I prefer finishing a round with 30 kills and 18 deaths instead of having 15 kills and zero deaths sniping at one spot forever.

Beat this game on the 360 and I have to say, the most intense first person war game I've played in a while. I've liked the Medal Of Honor series more for some time but Call Of Duty 2 takes the lead for now, I must say.
The only thing unrealistic about this game is the fact that you can take a ton of damage, due to the health regeneration (as long as you get out of harms way long enough). But, with a war game with this much action and enemies going on at once, it would be incredibly difficult and even more unrealistic to keep your man alive off of medkits that happen to be laying around as well.

So I played this on live today for the first time (3rd time total) and although I such, I did get a couple of kills.
The lag seemed to be pretty bad most times, like my character was hooked to the ground with a giant rubber band. I would move, and then get pulled backwards. The best games I seemed to have were when everybody quite but me and one other person. So if I am having troubles moving, does that mean my connection is bad, or the overall one? I am hardwired into my router.
Secondly, when online sometimes I get a red blip on my compass, but most times I do not. So I spend a lot of time wandering (into enemy bullets). Is there something I should be doing??

While playing the single player mode, I could've sworn I saw one of my comrades pick up a grenade that was thrown at us, and threw it back at the enemy. Was I hallucinating? If not, is there a way to do this on your own? I couldn't find it in the manual.

Nope. I was disappointed when I learned I couldn't do that as well. Only your comrades can hurl them back.

They are like boxes and barrels. Lack of creativity on the designers part. They are a part of every game. I like the regeneration aspect something new. Searching out medkits becomes mundane and slows down the action. I'm glad a developer has taken steps to advance one aspect of FPSs.

I'm not a programmer but the problem is either in the game itself and how it speaks to the XBox Live servers or it is the servers themselves and the code that is on them that is causing all of these problems.
Is there an actual master (server) game for each of these XBox Live games that resides on the Xbox Live servers or do I not have a clue as to how all of this works?

I still need to get this game for the 360. It's the last title I want to get before Lost Odyssey comes out. The intense atmosphere really impressed me.

Anybody know why there are no leader boards for this game? I mean what is the point of playing ranked games if there are no leader boards like Quake 4, PGR3 and Tiger Woods have?

I have to say that the difficulty really is out of whack on this game. I beat the game once on the 360 and decided to go back and try it again on veteran. Some levels were hard, some were easy but I've been working on the current level off and on for 2 weeks or more. It's the one before the silo where you have to clear out all the buildings in town. The guys on my squad are pretty much worthless when it comes to clearing out areas. I can lead them to the area but it's mainly up to me to take everyone down while getting shot at all around me by far more guys than I can handle. I don't feel like my squad is any smarter and I think they should be to make up for the crazy shit that is going on around me.
It's a real shame the online portion of the game is so messed up. The leader boards are supposed to be up this month but what is the point in bothering now? The one game I played online was laggy as hell, the maps are very complex for only allowing such a small number of people to play. Being able to watch how the person who killed you did it is a pretty cool feature but it doesn't make up for the other problem.

Yeah, I was kinda hoping your "men" whould be as smart as the enemy, but they tend to get mowed down. Claiming the house is clear but there are 2 more guys upstairs.
As for online, the usually end up being me and some other person who sits on a rooftop sniping, fun!!

I started a board this morning (hardened) where I had to clear a house(last board before the US campaign), and yes, all my men stay outside while I have to Rambo-it, going in to take out 20 men. That is a little disappointing. It feels great when you do get something like that accomplished on your own, but it shouldn't be like that. Tried clearing the house 3-4 times with no progress.
