Man, I hope the hunter bug they found in the test realms gets fixed before going in. 5 seconds for feign death to drop you out of combat? Ugh...

And a head's up for anyone who plays a druid, in Patch 1.11, Innverate will now be a core ability that all druids can learn at your class trainer. It is no longer a talent ability. The new 31-point Restoration talent will be Swiftmend, an instant HoT cast spell.

Niiiiice...my 51 Druid is feral, so this will be a nice upgrade.

nickdawgy 05-02-06 07:06 PM

I am hoping that the Shaman review is also in 1.11. I hope it's not just a few bug fixes.

Fandango 05-02-06 07:18 PM

Blizzard has stated that the mage/shaman review is in patch 1.11.

Xander 05-03-06 11:51 AM

Hmm...other than a few guild-wide d/c's yesterday, seems like this patch went relatively smoothly. That's always nice. :) And FD seems to be working like it always does, so that's good news as well.

RyoHazuki 05-03-06 05:00 PM

Does anyone have a character on Aegwynn?

DaveNinja 05-03-06 05:07 PM

I saw that but alot of talk is it might not be the whole truth.

SeekOnce 05-03-06 09:00 PM

Pfft, I wish they could do the priest review again.

Lightwell = Teh Suck

DaveNinja 05-04-06 10:21 AM

just a quick correction to my above post. the guild name i wanted (of the West) was already taken. So now the name is Western Expansion (once i get 10 signature on the guild charter). I'll give it 3 or 4 weeks and see what happens

Anyone know any servers with decent Horde players?

I'm sick of Alliance. Time to reroll Undead.

glassdragon 05-07-06 04:28 PM

Well if you roll a horde on Bonechewer i can get you an invite to my guild, we have lots of players... check out the website on http://chaoseffect.nrgservers.net and tell us about yourself on the forums of course putting in that you know me from here and we can get you an invite i'm sure. We are cool and have about 42 real life members atm. Hope to see you there :)

I keep thinking about coming back but I just can't make up my mind. I am tempted to wait for the expansion pack, but then again they aren't adding any new classes.

My biggest problem is none of the classes really fit me. I liked the Hunter class but I hated dealing with a pet. I enjoyed the druid but not sure that I was really that good as a healer. I do better at melee so that rules out the mage, priest and warlock. I never mastered the art of tanking but I like the warrior class. I played a rogue which I liked but again I wasn't great at. I liked the Pally but sucked for soloing and I couldn't get into the Shaman.

I am itching to play something though and GW: Factions and DDO didn't grab me at all.

As a druid you can be a hybrid tank/healer and get both. I have a friend who has this spec and he has over 9k armor in bear form. Maybe try a rogue? you get to do monster dps and still have no responsibility like a tank or healer, your job is to put major hurt on the enemy

I play a Feral Druid as well. But, I came from playing a Priest (in WoW and nearly every other MMORPG I've played), so I think it's a necessity to be able to at least backup heal (if not primary, as many groups expect a druid to be pure resto... *sigh*). For soloing and PVP though, Feral is the way to go.

I have been having problems lately with staying connected. At first I thought it might be my computer, but other people are reporting the same issues. All of the people that have them, including me, have Nvidia based cards. This is odd, since WoW endorses Nvidia.

One or more of the following has happened at least once a day for the past week:

1. I will freeze at some point in the game, and after about 15-20 seconds, get disconnected and the standard "disconnected from server" message. This is not something I am overly concerned about beacuse I am back in game in a few minutes.

2. I will freeze, and then nothing. I can still hear the sound effects (fire burning, water flowing, etc) but I am totally locked up. No control alt delete. No pressing the start key to get to the desktop. I have to completely reset my PC to be able to do anything.

3. The above problem happens, except this time after 1 minute I get a black screen. I can still hear the sounds, and eventually have to reset again.

4. The above happens, and my PC automatically reboots.

5. The above happens and my PC auatomatically goes to a BSoD.

Any idea what causes this? I checked the temp of the video card and my system, and everything is normal. I have a good Antec 350w psu. The processor, mobo, and video card are all just a year old.

I just tried to go back on now, and I froze after 10 seconds. Had to reset again.

Eelkram 05-08-06 10:55 AM

I experienced that a few nights ago. Just once though. The game looked like it locked up, but I can still hear ventrillo working. I can't ctrl-alt-delete, tab out, or use the windows start key. I had to do turn off the power supply to reboot. I shrugged it off as a fluke bug. I do have an nvidia card, now I wonder if this is more widespread.

nickdawgy 05-08-06 11:03 AM

I just got the error again, except this time I was playing my alt in the Barrens, and it totally locked on me and went to a black screen. I could hear the sounds like the birds and music. Then after 2 mins, the mob I was fighting died (I heard it die). I tried typing /lol, but heard nothing. Then I had to reset.

I have also noticed that more often then not, when I turn in a quest in Ratchet, I disconnect and have to reset. This has happened numerous times, and only in Ratchet.

Eelkram 05-08-06 11:40 AM

Since I've only experienced this once, I never even thought about looking into it. I would try updating my video drivers first to see if that helps anything.

nickdawgy 05-08-06 12:09 PM

Yeah upgraded them last night, and nada.

nickdawgy 05-08-06 12:25 PM

Just tried again with my alt. Decided I'd run to Ashenvale. Got there okay. Tried some emotes, everything was fine. Fought a mob, no problems.

I started bandaging myself and froze halfway through the process. One of the 3 previous freezes was while I was making bandages in Crossroads.

This time it was a BSoD, but it disappeared before I could read what the problem was. Is there a way to check for that?

Eelkram 05-08-06 12:43 PM

You could try looking at your event logs for both application and system and look for the time stamps around the time your errors occurred. You can get to the event log by going to Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Logs.

nickdawgy 05-08-06 01:01 PM

I checked that and no errors are listed

Draven 05-08-06 01:06 PM

Have you run through the steps on the Blizzard site?

http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/?id=mww000p&v=28 might be a good place to start if you haven't already. Looks like there are some utilities that will check for corrupted files, and I know I've seen the "crashing while turning in quests" problem with a possible solution on there before.
