I'm pretty sure that's the arcade version, not the NES verson of Bionic Commando. I've tried the arcade version out on MAME, and it's not that good.

Is there a Gamecube version of Namco Museum then?

I'd love to play 1942, 43 and the Streetfighter games amongst others on that Capcom disc. Poo.

I doubt they'll ever include Alien vs Predator on one of these collections, as it would require they pay an additional (probably hefty) licensing fee.

Yes, the Namco and Midway collections came out on the GameCube.

I'm still not sure why Capcom would skip the Cube considering how many of the titles in the collection showed up on the NES in one form or another, but whatever.

True. Capcom lost the rights to the characters many, many, many years ago.

I really want to see games like Red Earth, and other titles that were never published.

I havent seen a collection Ive gotten that I absolutely hate. Namcomuseum wasnt bad. I like my Midway Arcade Treasures (1 & 2) and the Sonic Mega Collection was nice.

Awaiting the next set of Classic discs that will come out soon

The first Mega Man Anniversary Collection was great... and I have the Treasures #1 game... and the Sonic One...

... but I'm still about there not being a GCN version!

Ya, the confusion regarding which version of Bionic Commando is coming in the collection reminds me of the misconception concerning Tecmo Bowl in the Tecmo Collection for X-Box. Many folks may be disappointed that it is not the Tecmo Bowl (or my all-time favorite game, Tecmo Super Bowl) that they remember from the NES days, but rather the little-known arcade version.

The IGN review is pretty good. 8.1 overall. They do comment on the fact most are arcade ports instead of console ones and on the games they wish were in there. Overall though it looks like its well worth $20.

so being "Bionic Commando" is the arcade and not the NES port, does that mean it isn't as epic as the NES and there is no
Spoiler:
killing Hitler with the one missle while falling off a cliff
to win the game at the end?

i remember leaving my NES on for 36 hours while i was away for the weekend to comeback and finish it that day. it, to this day, is my most satisfying finishing a game experience ever!

Didn't even know Capcom was releasing this on the PSP, thought it was PS2 and Xbox only?

I think they only came out on the Cube in the US (I have the Freeloader thingy though for use with a UK 'Cube.).
Do Amazon.com ship games inernationally to the UK?

Also why the hell does the Midway collection (Arcade Treasures 2) have a Mature rating?

Because a couple of the games:such as Total Carnage (with bodies exploding and being burnt up before you) would be rated M, as well as the MORTAL KOMBAT games...

It always makes me laugh how Capcom almost pretends the original Street Fighter doesn't exist. Given, it's not very good at all but you would think they would at least include it on the Street Fighter Collection.

In the new Game Informer, under their Loose Talk section, it says that this collection will be coming out for the PSP and it will also include Strider and Sidearms which are not on the PS2, or XBOX versions.

Neat...hopefully it's only $29.99 for PSP (like the Midway Collection coming for it)...still $10 too much, but at least not $40 like that turd Namco Museum
