I've been able to run the game fine on my 6200, although it's not on the box. The 7800 should be fine. They probably just haven't tested the game as extensively with the newer chipsets.

Does anyone know how to put movies downloaded from The Movies website that people have made onto an IPod? Or is it even possible?
I have been trying but can't get Itunes to import any, but i'm not very good with this kind of stuff.
I think it would be cool to download a bunch to watch later on my IPod when i'm not in the mood for music.

Did some research and figured it out.
I know there isn't much interest in this game anymore on here, but you have to check out this guy's movie, it is beyond cool and the best one I have seen so far.

That saloon/disco editing was particularly impressive. I played The Movies pretty solid for about two weeks before I got frustrated by not being able to execute what was in my head. Watching that kind of made me wish I'd had more patience. I just didn't have enough time to really get into it.

I just bought this game for $4 from GoGamer a few weeks ago, I need to actually try it out now.

You'll probably want to pick up the expansion too in order to get the best experience.
They claim that you actually do get free control of the camera now with the expansion. Dunno how true it is as I have yet to play the game.

I just learned of this game today. Anybody here like it? People who picked it up initially, do you still play it? Amazon has it for under $20.

Well, two weeks of silence answers my question...

I think the main reason I never went back to playing The Movies was because of the re-learning curve. It took me a number of days to figure out probably 75% of the standard play mechanics. And I really think I'd have to go back through most of the early lessons to job my memory. I enjoyed it until I just got frustrated with some of the limitations and poor simulation-type gameplay. When I accepted the game for what it was, I enjoyed it. I probably should have just waited to play it until the first expansion. Great idea. Good game. But extremely frustrating at times. I was always amazed by some of the creations posted by gamers. Truly some amazing stuff. I think I enjoyed the skills of others more than floundering through it on my own.
