This is the part that pisses me off:
In North America, consumers can purchase a card worth 1600 Points for an MSRP of $19.99
Why couldn't they just have had 1 Point = 1 Cent? You shouldn't need a calculator to figure out how much money you're spending on a stupid theme.

They don't want you to realize how much you're spending. That's why there is the points system instead of just saying "Joust is 5 bucks".

I wonder if they sell smaller quantities of marketplace points over Xbox Live. It would be nice to just pick up a few points for new avatars and perhaps a theme.

One of the Canadian contest winners reported buying 500 points through the dashboard. So it looks as though you can.

What annoys me even more about this is they can throw Joust i nthe arcade for an additional 5 spot but they can't BC the entire Midway Treasures which already has a couple of those arcade games on them (Joust and Robotron i know offhand). I already paid for those games when i bought the 3 Treasures discs.

http://www.360covers.com/

Cheaper than buying a new faceplate. They even do custom covers dependent on your design. Prices range from $5.99 to $9.99.

Thet have got some pretty badass designs in their stock selection. And they take Paypal!

Some of those are pretty awesome. I would like to see one installed.

You can't play them on Xbox Live though. From what I've read, the Arcade games in the Marketplace will be available to play against others on the internets. So online Joust and Smash TV makes it worth it to me.

Very true. I would be salivating over online Joust and eventually hopefully online Joust 2.

I guess it just annoys me that the MAT discs aren't BC yet they through a couple games from them onto the system. Either way i won't be able to find one of the bloody boxes until after the new year anyway so hopefully more titles will be on the list by then.

I'll let you know. I just ordered Territorial.

For anyone wondering, shipping is $4.05 for standard, $6.10 for 2-day. Kind of high, but still half the price of a new faceplate.

Yeah, but it doesn't include the faceplate -- it's just a vinyl decal, so you'll have to buy a faceplate, too.

Or just use the factory cover according to the website.

Try some small town Wal-Mart. I'm sure there will be plenty.

Check your account history at http://www.Every10minutes.com if you won.

Says we'll get our system Saturday via UPS.

Didn't see this one before:

IGN's review of NBA2K6 (7.8):http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/666/666970p1.html

That is one brutal review. High res players next to current gen coaches in the same game? Ouch. Will be cancelling my pre-order!

I noticed that IGN isn't posted the television/setup of the review. That's an absolute necessity for HD games if they want us to take their reviews seriously.

Would've been nice if they showed a screenshot of that.

This was posted at TeamXbox by a Canadian that received the console early. A bit of a mini-review that highlights a good bit of the connectivity between the Xbox and your home computer:

http://www.halomovienews.com/xbox360.php

Also, It's mentioned that DVD playback is not scaled to 720p or 1080i. Rather it's progressive scan / 480p.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight. The guy happens to run a Halo site, is a professional reviewer and he is just lucky enough to win a 360 in the contest? [cough]bullshit[/ cough]

Wait, in his review he said he networked 360 with XP Pro. No mention of XP Media Center. Is that right??? I hope I can view pics and stuff from my computer onto my TV through the 360. That would be great.

You need Media Center to stream video from your PC to your Xbox 360.
