Its mostly first party Nintendo games that came out after a certain date, but some third party exclusive games like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles have also had codes. I can't remember the exact date this all started though.

The link contains a list of all Nintendo games that come with PINs in them. Link is direct from Nintendo.

"Hi there,
I signed up for the 3 free issues to get the issue with the Link DVD trailer. I was told during signup that I would get an email confirming my free 3 issues. I have yet to receive that email.
Now when I logged into the site to check my status it says my next issue is August, and I only have 1 issue remaining in the trial. I haven't receieved a single issue yet and I'm down to only 1 left? I'm very confused.
Could you please explain?"

This is their response:

"Our records show that your Three for Free subscription has been added to your account. The first two issues (Volumes 193 and 194) are already on the way and should arrive by July 5. Volume 194 will include the promotional DVD."

Got my first free issue the other day; it's Volume 194/August, with the free DVD. The address label says it's set to expire with the September issue, so perhaps I'll receive last month's issue (193/July) next, as Nintendo's response above seems to indicate.

Next time you rent you should open up the game cases in the store. A lot of times they'll still have the codes inside of them. If you feel comfortable using them, go for it.

Not a bad idea, didn't think of that, thanks. Still, if anyone wants to help me out sooner then I get there, much appreciated.

Yep.

Got the previous issue (Volume 193/July) this afternoon.

I assume I'll get the September issue in two weeks or so, and that'll be the end of it.
