Don't forget to connect it via component connection and go to the x box dash board when you plug in the hi def pack, and enable 720p etc.

get the xbox HD pack, then after it is hooked up like that go into your settings and set it up for widescreen, with 480p,720p, and 1080i on if your tv can support all those, other wise just put the 480p on. then when you're in your dash board hold down both triggers and then push in on both thumbsticks and it puts your dashboard into HD running at 480p. have fun.

I doubt it will support 720p. I have a 55" MITS TV also. Make sure you plug the cable into the DTV input if you want to get 1080i. I think only a few games use it though....

Maybe he's referring to the dashboard itself?

It is just for the dashboard. Do it once (not every time you boot up) and the dashboard is set to HD. You don't need to do this for gaming.

check your tv even if you turn on the HD settings under the video tab your dashboard still shows up in 480i unless you do the both triggers and both thumbsticks. and if you want to something really messed up while in the dashboard where it gives you a menu, ie memory, xbox live, music, etc hold down both X & Y at the same time.
