i haven't signed up for EGM in years and yet i still get them...still good till 2006...weird, it still grows!!

Just curious.....has anyone subscription RESUMED yet since it was put on freeze? I called a month or two ago, and they said they would ship the next issue out....Not sure if it was the April or May issue though

I remember getting an issue on Nov. 8th, the same day Halo 2 was to be released at midnight (Nov. 9th). That was the Dec. issue with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater on the cover. I failed to receive the next 2 issues and I e-mailed them about it and they resumed my subscription with the GodFather issue and I've since received the Jade Empire and, just this week, the Phantasy Star Universe issues. My label currently states my sub is good thru May '06.

For about six weeks, I thought the person I talked to said the first resumed issue would be April's. It turned out she must have said "May" because that's what finally showed up around Tuesday.

My first resumed Computer Gaming World showed up today. And once again Tom beat Bruce... I hope I didn't miss a rare Bruce win in the interim.

I forgot to resume Computer Gaming World.

This still amazes me. How can they just drop a bunch of subscriptions? I'd love to know how many people were affected by this and what the advertisers think about it.

Yeah my May issue showed up the other day, kinda annoyed at missing a few issues, especially the April issue but i'll live.

i think it was only with the free subscribers since 3 of my friends, who all pay regular price for theirs, didnt have any interruptions, but mine (free thru the ebgames link) did. got my may issue tuesday, they never did send april.

My sub. is courtesy of GameFLY.com. I was a member beginning the last couple of weeks of March 2004 (FREE 10-day Trial) and I paid for only 1 month (April 2004) before cancelling. I figured my subscription would be for only 1 year but now it runs to 2006.

Mine still hasn't started back up yet.

Mine were freebies too so that's probably it.

Still, the advertisers pay based on how many people see their ads. They probably wouldn't be happy even if it was just free subs that were neglected.

I guess I can't complain since I didn't pay for it though.

Oh, so maybe I'll get the May issue soon though.....I thought I Was the only one who didn't get it resumed

i just started receiving it again. its the one with phantasy star universe on it. also, just got my first issue of OPM, and it came with the free dvd.

Nevermind, right after I said that I found that I got the issue.

Thanks for starting this thread. I just assumed my subscription was over but I sent them an e-mail (through 1up.com) and they got back to me in two days saying I was suspended and they would be restarting my membership. My subscription is good until 2010! WHOO!

I swear after discovering this free mag stuff, I can not bring myself to buy them anymore. That 5 bucks seems like such a waste now. For those who subscribe (free of course) you may want to shoot computer gaming world a letter as well as they're through the same company.

Now that you guys are mentioning it, I haven't received any either. This also happened to my PC Mag recently as well. I had forgotten what other magazines stopped coming in.

I called again....mine was switched to DIGITAL....not sure how that happened. So, I called and switched it to print again. sheesh

Mine was resumed this month. The only catch it was digital from Zinio

Call them up and switch it....they said my PRINT would start with the July issue

I noticed this thread and kept meaning to check on mine but kept forgetting to. I haven't gotten an issue since the holiday issue #186. They said that there was a hold put on my account for an unknown reason. The girl was very nice and said that they would extend my sub for 3 more issues so it doesn't expire til December 2006 ( gotta love those free subs!).

They said I won't get a new issue until the August issue coming out at the end of June or first of July.

I finally received the June issue today. I think a thread about it was started more than a week ago. I guess after being forgotten by EGM for a few months I'm a little paranoid.
