No one ever mentioned anything about publications unlimited when I called.
www.zdmcirc.com is ziff-davis subscription center website, that's where i got the numbers for EGM.
When I asked about the back issues they said that they didn't have any to give me.

I called AGAIN, the 3rd time....They once again claim they see no reason whatsoever I shouldn't be receiving my EGM. Nothing about it being halted or anything. She told me on the last call she'd forward it to the main office to be looked into.
Sucks...First XBN (The best of these mags IMO) is canned and now this

Mine got stopped also. I just went to this page Ziff Davis Customer Support and logged in and said I had not gotten the Jan Issue. The next day they emailed me and siad my service would be restarted, and I would be credited for the missed issues.

Does anybody know if the EGM January issue (#187) was a regular issue?
Seems like a silly question, but past issues were entitled on the binders as October, November, and then Holiday. Since the next one was January, it reads as though there was an extra issue published. And I've seen a picture of the cover online, and it blares at the top, "SPECIAL ISSUE: 2005 VIDEOGAME PREVIEW FEATURE".
If it's something besides a normal monthly EGM, I'm not going to bother trying to track it down. But, owning a copy of every EGM since #1, I'd hate to have a gap because of some weird promotion-gone-wrong glitch by Ziff Davis.

Thanks for posting this. My subscription was also placed on "hold" and the customer service rep "didn't know why but will take care of it". Whatever, at least they extended my sub by a couple of months after I bitched a little

I noticed I didn't get EGM anymore a few months ago put paid it no mind since it was a free sub. This thread had me call up and find out what's going on. Like other people, it was placed on hold and they advised me to contact "Publishers Unlimited" to get it resolved. I told her that I would call them afterwards and if she could just put my account back on active. She went ahead and did that and offered to mail out the 2 issues I've missed as well. She then reminded me to call "Publishers Unlimited" at the end of the call, even though there was no point to it.
My guess is that they know what's going on and want to get out of the free subs. But those of us who call they can't deny since i'm sure legally they can't deny the sub. That's just my guess, I could be wrong but thanks again for posting this.

When this surfaced a few months ago, and I didn't get anything past my January issue, I got a little concerned. But then I checked the mailing labels, and it turns out that Jan 05 was supposed to be my last issue anyway. I paid the 20 bucks to renew it, which is a far cry from free, but I enjoy reading it enough, even if it's not as up to date as websites can be.

After getting antsy yesterday (reading about the April fool's joke) It finally showed up today. Good to have it back. It was depressing only getting gamepro the last few months.
