Need to use it.. just have her say "yeah, I look just like my character on here in real life - except I have bigger boobs" and then have her ask what kind of free stuff he will give her.. then after she gets the stuff - put him on ignore.

Back in the EQ days, I had a buddy who played a female Monk, arguably the "sexiest" avatar in the game. At first he was all flirty, and enjoyed the free goods. Then people started to get creepy, following him around, etc etc. Even telling people "Hey, I'm a DUDE" didn't stave off a lot of 'em.

I do the same.

Just wait until she is 40+ and she starts to wear platemail thongs (yes, they really do exist). It seems for female characters, the higher level the armor, the skimpier they get.

My Brother is a sucker for female characters in MMO's. It's pathetic. He thinks any Female toon he comes across there's a real life good looking Female on the other end playing it.

Back when I played Asheron's call I purposely made a Female toon and pulled a fast one on my Brother. I strolled into town where he was at and played all dumb...acted like a total 'noob' :lol: ....he bought it. Next thing you know I was decked out in gear and had lots of money. After that is when he started getting personal with the questions and that's when I told him it was me. He got pissed...seriously pissed but it made him a little more hesitant about Female characters in MMO's.

I used to be a real "altoholic" on EQ so I'm glad I have only 3 characters!!

I used to have a lvl 12 female human mage (on WOW), but I got two 10 slot bags in my mailbox... I reply to the dude that either it was a mistake and I will give him back his bags or else well thanks!! I include 5 silver (hehe I was broke). The next day I check my mail (coz I mail stuff to my other characters) and there's a message from the same guy with 40 Gold included!! -eek-

He said he was just being nice, so I split the gold between my characters and deleted my mage to create my warlock. Like some of you have said, I'm just tired of guys thinking another female char is a girl.... I'm pretty sure he was genuine in his kindness but hey, I still took the Gold :D

Today's tip:

This may be obvious, but I'm always amazed by how many people I run into in-game don't know about this: log out at inns. This increases the speed your character rests while offline, which in turn gives you more bubbles of doubled experience.

Darkfriend: you should start a horde character on that realm.

:lol: DaveNinja, I played 2 weeks on Suramar before I saw this thread. I had an orc shaman and a tauren druid. Not to be prejudiced against the Horde, but most people I grouped with or talked to were "Dood let's go kill some shit! COME ON!!" Or "WTF OMG this is gay I only got 12 copper from this kill" ....

Now that I'm on the Alliance side, sure there are dolts in general chat but at least the people I grouped with weren't behaving like ritalin depraved 12 year olds :)

I plan on eventually playing Horde, I just want to level up my characters a bit. Not for leveling's sake, just to explore this HUGE world. But I doubt I'll get 2 bags and 40 Gold while playing a female Orc :lol:

Edit:unless some rich guy has an Orc fetish...

ok, another piece of info... new, at least to me. on a non-PvP server, you can have both horde and alliance characters.

Help Request:

1) How do you take screen shots? Is it something in WoW or do you just use the shift-alt-printscreen on the PC? anyone know the key combo for the mac version?

2)what are the useful "moves" like /dance, /bow, /train ? Useful, i mean fun or useful. Most of the Wow related sites are blocked here at work (and if i'm home on the computer i'm playing WoW) so please post your favorites here.

For Mac Users:

- While in the game, press Command-3 on your keyboard. If you have a keyboard with an F13 key, that will work as well.
- You should see a "Screen Captured" message.
- The screenshot will appear as an Acrobat Reader (PDF) file in the Screenshots folder, in your main World of Warcraft directory.

can any hunters explain the cower pet spell to me?
why would you want to use it?
don't you want the pet to take aggro?
if you have it on autocast when will it get cast?

I tried to play on the dvdtalk server (cenaruis) last night and it kept messing up on me. I would level the big orc city but my pet (croc) would disappear. i'd use the call pet, but he wouldnt come. i couldnt revive him because he wasnt dead. so i went out of the city then logged off and then back on. it started me at the hunters hall in the city eventhough i logged out outside. Then my pet disappeared again. so i exited the game and started up again but it couldnt find my character on that server, but i was able to play my NE warrior on a different server fine. It was weird.
Ive also had a couple times where i've harvested an herb but been attacked before i've moved the herb from its window to my backpack. I get stuck in "picking up" mode (crouched) and cant pick up anything off the dead monsters. the herb plant stays there but i cant harvest it. Also whenever i walk, i'm stuck in crouching mode with no walking animation. the only thing that seems to fix it is logging off and then back on and not trying to harvest that same herb.

I'm guessing it's like the Succubus Soothing Kiss - so she doesn't get killed by the dps aggro she does... guess this applies to high dps/low armor class pets...

the login screen mentioned that there were problems with cenarius last night and they were shutting down the server for a few hours to fix it. The problems you mentioned are attributed to lag.

but if she cowers, does that mean the mob will come after you?

Multiple servers had issues last night, which led to an emergency maintenance this morning to solve the problems.
