I have the more expensive one, and I do have my PS2 and Xbox setup for Dolby Digital using their digital audio ports.I also have my DVD changer going through this same switcher.

I use the switcher to move between devices and it works great.

As for not having a remote, I have a better solution - I send my 3 year old son to push the button for me.!

Although I haven't tested it, I'm pretty sure it just takes, say, the component input, and outputs it to the component output, so it won't convert your PS2 component output to a composite television input, or anything like that. The other drawback of the expensive model is that it makes for a horrible ethernet switch... the ethernet switches on and off, so if you're downloading something on Xbox Live and switch to another system, it will kill your download. Also, I think only three of the slots supports ethernet and optical audio.

juamngonzalez, I like your solution to the lack of remote, but it seems pretty costly... I'm thinking of investing in a long stick or something, at least until the wife is ready to look into that other possibility.

I'm having a hard time finding this selector online anywhere. Anyone know which stores carry this (online or B&M)?

The first post in this topic has a link to a store selling it. I also saw it at either my local BestBuy or Wal-mart.
