note: once you get 8 stars, you have enough to get mario. Just go to the Princess Peach's room with the mini game in it. Go through the door with the eight on it. Jump through the Mario painting. Beat the boss and get mario.

Picked up Mario today, will post some impressions when I get a chance.
I didn't see any DS units in Circuit City, but there were 6 or so at Target and 10 or so at Toy's R Us. I'm beginning to think the shortage stories were just marketing hype. Though again I'm sure it's harder to find in metropolitan areas compared to around my parent's here in rural WV.

That said, they are sold out most everywhere around me, but its def. not like the SP launch. Best way to gauge demand is by checking ebay prices. I've actually been tracking the prices every day for fun and will post a graph after a week. There has been a definite increase lately. (~10-20 dollars)

caved in and bought a DS at Circuit City today. they had about 6 copies left. not many games. the only game I want is that Super Mario 64 DS game, and not many places around where I live still have it. played a little bit of Metroid Hunters and its fun, I didn't have an Advance so I thought it would be neat to have this for Advance/DS games.
tad pricey though haha

I'm looking for a good case and accessories too.
Really all I want is some headphones, a screen protector, some game cases, and an extra long stylus...
I some a few things at Best Buy, but I was wondering if there were any other companies coming out with JUST the things I mention above. I don't see why these companies are including AC adapters, since the DS unit includes one...

DS - 275g
Of course, I don't know how close those numbers are to the actual, but you can easily say they are about the same weight.
As for your reviews of the analog stick, I would love to see some negative ones. The one reviews I have read have been from IGN and Gamespot... both praising how great the unit feels and how amazing the analog stick is. I would love to read some negative reviews (obviously, the reviews I read a little biased). If you could post some links, I would be most grateful.

See the last EGM. It has a rundown of the systems. It mainly focuses on which game lineup is better (current and future titles) and mentioned that the PSPs analog stick was loose and not as responsive as it should be.
The DS one in overall score on the lineup thing, a B to a C (can't remember the plus and minus on the ratings).

I have come to trust EGM on their opinions over the years. Hopefully the stick is not as bad as they said. I'm surprised the PSP is that close to the DS in weight. For some reason I just assumed it would be heavier.
As with the DS I will wait until I can try the PSP out myself to make a clear opinion of it one way or the other. Just wonder if the rumor of the US release date getting pushed back is true.

My wife picked mine up last night at Toys R Us, they only had 2, would only sell her 1. She went next door to Best Buy and bought two more for my boys christmas presents.
So far Mario 64 is good, slight twists on the old game. Plays exactly the same and the worlds seem *almost* identical. The King of the Mountain in the first world looked the same but you have to beat him in a different way. The big chain chomper star was the same though. The room with the Princess Peach painting is different, not sure what's through the other doors in that room, haven't tried it yet.
All in all it's a pretty nice piece of hardware. I can't find anything wrong with it and it's got way more bells and whistles than I'll likely use. Holding both an Advance game and DS game simultaneously is a nice touch too so you can easily play either.

is there any stores that carry cases for the DS's. I've only seen Intec stuff, which includes leather cases, metal cases, headphones, screen protectors, car adapters and so on.
