And no, that would be Ridge Racers without WiFi on. I thought that you couldn't turn the WiFi off on the DS?

I played it for a while at work tonight. I had read about the stylus/swing method and wasn't looking forward to it. After playing a round the swing mechanics didn't bother me all that much. For some reason sometimes my swing power wasn't what I thought I had done but it wasn't every swing so I managed. I do however dislike the putting interface. It gives you the caddy "read" of the hole, then you set your target on the close-up shot of the green on the touch screen and hit A to take the putt. I never quite got the hang of it.
As I mentioned earlier in the thread I am against paying $39.99^ for a portable game so I won't be picking this up right away. I will play another round or two at work, and then depending if my putting gets any better I might pick it up on a decent sale, or a pre-owned copy.

I'm really excited by Castlevania DS...it's one of the reasons I bought the DS in the first place.
I'm glad they stuck with the 2D action and then added the map to the top screen. I get tired of always having to pause the game to look at the freakin map.

OMG those screens just about put me over the edge on getting a DS with that and Animal Crossing on the horizon.
Aria of sorrow was the best castlevania game i've played in a lot time and one of my favorites. Anyone have a link to higher quality scans?

For those who live in areas where the DS was sold out 1-2 weeks before Christmas:
Have any of the stores in your area gotten a new stock of systems yet? I remember there was announcement a few days before Christmas saying that Nintendo was going to ship out more systems for last day Christmas shoppers, and for people who want to buy one after Christmas. However, none of the stores in my area have gotten a new shipment in. Oddly enough, my local Sam's Club sells DS games, but they said they never got the actual system to sell.

It seems like the smaller craphole stores like Electronics Boutique love to feign shortages and really never have enough in stock, but with a Target or Walmart or Kmart or Best Buy or Circuit City or CompUSA or whatever every few square miles someplace is bound to have it in stock, you just have to be persistant.

I think Target is the best place to look. Apparently my GF went through a lot to get me mine for Christmas. EB sold the one she preordered right from under her. She couldn't pick it up because she was out of state on a personal emergency and wouldn't hold it for her (they really can be bastards). After that she had my cousin looking out for them and he found one at a Target. If I'm not mistaken it is the same Target that broke street date and sold him one on Thursday (it was released on Sunday).
Anyways look in Target.

Wow. Castlevania! Im still worried about having to switch between the buttons and stylus so fast, but Aria was the best castlevania imo on the GBA.

I've seen a bunch at Target, Best Buy, and Toys R Us in the Southern California area, which is probably one of the biggest scalper territories in the US, so they're out there.

I may have bought Aria of Sorrow once already but after reading the article Im sold all over again!
