And thanks for the tip on the sword. I didn't know that, I was just getting close and repeatedly pulling the trigger to continuously slash until they died.

You can go on bungie.net and look at all your past games (scores, medals etc.) you can also get a map view that shows where you made all you kills, where you got killed from, what weapons were used, and where you carried the flag (in CTF games). Almost as good as an instant replay.

I know that if you beat it on Heroic you get a new map. Probably another one on Legendary.

Yeah I saw the map thing yesterday. I played a huge 50 kill match with my buddies and that tiny map was soooo hard to read but it really is a cool feature.

I guess it'll be some time before I get another map. Oh well.

when you log onto bungie.net w/ your passport acct, you will see links for "my profile", "my settings"...."my stats". Click on "my stats" and it will show nothing associated but there will be a link there to link your gamertag.

Regarding jacking vehicles, I'm under the impression that you don't have to hit the 'X' button at that exact moment. You can just be holding it when the vehicle is coming at you. However, there are optimum positions to be for the different vehicles I believe.

I know when you are going up to a turret/hog/ghost/whatever if you just hold the X button as you are going on to it. You don't have to go up to it and then hit X.

Remember that you can also jack a vehicle and attach a plasma grenade to it and jump off. Of course, the vehicle is usually wasted by this.

Someone from the clan sent me a voice mesage, but I could't figure out how to play it. I got to a menu that said press X to play, but it wouldn't. Anybody know?

I got one like that from Decker. Apparently when he hit record he didn't say anything. Turn the volume up real high and you can just hear a little bit of static. It only lasts a second or two.

I got the same message. I just thought I was going crazy.

Ok, tried everything to get the stupid tag linked... no luck.

Either way, I had already linked up to MSN which means my GT should already be linked to my Passport. In that case it should all be one big happy connection damnit!!!

That was way cool. There was also one when I jacked someone's ghost, and was trying to 180, and they jacked it right back. Don't remember who that was. Definitely a good time, though. :)

(edit) I was also thinking it would be cool if people who are in the clan put their gamertag in their DVDTalk signature. That would really help me keep track of who's who! :) What do you guys think?

Well, I got one from Copenhagen yesterday, but couldn't find out how to listen to it and then it seemed to disappear.
Anyway, I totally suck at this game (and pretty much everything else for that mattter) but I'll probably try the multiplayer tonight (if the wife lets me monopolize the TV :( ). I'll try to join a clan game.

Man.. Bungie sure has this game really in depth.

Clicking on the games you played shows you all the stats and stuff. Then you can click on a map for the game and it shows you where everyone died and who killed them. Pretty sweet.

Remember to sign up at bungie.net as well and join the dvdtalk group. If you are in there, it isn't the same as the clan because all the clan stuff is handled through xbox live.
Check your messages for a clan invite and accept it when you are on xbox live next.

Well, I seem to be on the list on the first page of this thread but it does not appear that I am in the clan on Bungie.net. Is there something I need to do? I thought I linked my gamertag but maybe not? I have not gotten an email for an invite or is that only sent thru your Xbox on your live account?

What is your name on bungie.net?I sent a clan invite to you earlier today. It should have come to you when y ou log into xbox live.
Though it might only do that if you log into xbox live through halo 2.
