Video Game Related Injuries
I have been playing my Gamecube a lot recently and a few weeks ago noticed a bad pain in my thumb. Still three weeks later that pain is still there. Sort of a sharp pain when pushed on or when I try to pick something up a certain way ect. Of course I can't stop playing (though I have cut back significantly due to the pain in my thumb) so I am sure I am only making it worse.
Anyone else injury themselves like this? Or anyone know what I did? Maybe I just strained a muscle I never used that much before I don't know? I remember I used to hear about carpal(sp?) tunnel syndrome or something with video games. How often does this stuff happen if at all? And lastly do some controllers for some consoles cause these problems more than others due to layout ect? Just curious and thought I would post....

Giga Wing 2, Dreamcast.. after a rigorous 5 hour binge I had a nasty deep cut in my thumb that took weeks to heal properly. Some asshat at Sega though it'd be a good idea to make the D-pad with sharp edges. Worst controller ever.

Groucho will agree with me on this... but the Mario Party series at one time would cause blisters on your palms from whirling around the control stick.
