i think my only complain is that you cant play through the game again with your upgraded powers. they couldve just increased the difficulty of the game and let you play through again. it wouldve been so awesome if the old x-men arcade game was included as a bonus in this.

Man, so far it's ok. I hate the camera angles and frankly I've fallen alseep twice running around confused in the snow trying to figure out which way to go. I hate that stupid map. It's useless!
I wish the characters were big like Knights of the old Republic instead of these small characters. Small characters and running around for hours on end trying to figure where to go was why I hated RPG's orignally.

As I play more of the game I have a few problems with it:
The cutscenes look amazing and then as you play it looks like low grade anime.
I'm always moving the cam. At times I like a lower view and other times I prefer it higher. It really gets in the way at times.
And since the cam is all out of whack I rely on the baddies yelling to tell where they are. Which works until you hear them yelling thru walls. I'll run around in a room a couple of times thinking someone is hiding only to realize that it was someone in the next room. Oh....and bad guys in other rooms....shouldn't be able to open doors and come into your room. Stay Put!!!!
The levels are so long. I don't mine them being repetitive but they shouldn't go on for ever.
I hate having to run around the mansion to find people and talk. They are never outside, on the ground level or in the bedrooms. If they are never there just put me in the basement to save me running all over the place.
I like the game but I agree playing it over again with all the powers would kick so much butt. I'm still happy with this game and it's been more enjoyable than other recent RPGs including Fable....and I never expected that.

Yeah, they really dropped the ball on letting people play through again with juiced up baddies. It seems like such a no brainer thing too. One problem I'm noticing as I approach the end is that my guys are so powerful now that the regular baddies pose no threat to me at all. Most all my heroes have one or two hit kill status now for the regular guards.

edited to add: Another reason FF is better than Legends is simply this - the stronger Freedom Force characters could pick up cars(and toss them clear down streets), light posts (and swing them like bats), and demolish flippin buildings, while everyone but Colossus has trouble picking up a couch in Legends.
Damn it, know I'm going to go and have to play through this game again. I hope you're happy superdeluxe

I rented this game this past weekend and I love it. It's one of the best games I've played in recent memory, but I definitely do hate that damn camera angle. You never can get it just right. If I had one compaint about this game - the camera angle would definitely be it.
My main team conists of Wolverine (whom I use), Cyclops, Iceman, and Magma (whom my roommate uses) or Rogue before her. I can't believe anyone would say that Cyclops is weak. He may not be good for Melee attacks, but his main move is just scary good. And if you hook him up with leadership points it is so easy for your whole team to level up faster.
I think we are going to rent the game again because we haven't beat it yet. We are currently at the part looking for the Healer, after Marrow kidnapped him.

I beat the game two nights ago and while I enjoyed it I don't think I'd ever replay it. As discussed before they really dropped the ball by not being able to play it again with the leveled up characters.

I just got the game yesterday as part of the TRU sale - a pretty good game with some annoying problems (having to seek out people in the mansion, the camera). I never did find Wolverine for the Weapon X flashback - it would have been better, maybe, for those optional sidequests to be available any time at the mansion.
Also, what happens after you beat the game? You just unlock the old costumes and you start all over again, from scratch? The levels are still locked? Do you at least keep the DR discs and Artwork that you'll collected and can then just add to it the 2nd playthrough?

I used Storm for this fight. I had her fly to one of the platforms where the switches are located. Walk to the edge and the Controllers should be under you on the ground flour. I started hitting it with every power she had and be sure to hit the trigger button for combos. For some reason I was able to have Storm up high blasting it and have the rest of my crew on the ground floor fighting it.....and it never sprayed me with that gas that confuses your team.

Now, you might run away, but then that wouldn't make for much of a game, would it?

Late to the party on this one, I know, but $20 is the price I'll pay for a video game and this one finally reached that point. Anyway, this game has totally consumed me. I'm loving it. I rarely play a game to completion (either I get bored or it gets too hard), but I'll damn well try here.
Funny enough, the hardest level for me (so far) is the one on the aircraft carrier. No matter what the game, I hate timed missions!

Hey guys, I know a website you can go to. It's gamefaqs.com It gives you cheats, codes, walkthroughs, reviews, forums, maps, just about everything for games from the NES to today's consoles. Check it out.

Don't get me wrong - that level was fun (although I had to consult a walkthrough to see what the hell I was supposed to do immediately after moving the crane). It's just that I'm a really novice gamer and prefer to do things on my own time.
But right now I'm stuck at the Marrow boss level in the sewers. Just how many times do I have to kill her? It's getting frustrating.

Thanks a bunch. That walkthrough that I've been consulting was absolutely useless for this boss.
Now I want to go ahead and have Colossus do some smashin' so I can advance to the next mission, but I need to get up early for work. Decisions...

Now that I've beaten the game, I wish you go jump immediately to any level. I'm in the middle of running through again and saving the game at the start of every new mission. For variety, i'm restricting myself to different characters than I used the first time.
