Red Vs. Blue DVDs... worth the purchase?
First off, I can't believe I'm posting a "Is _________ worth it?" thread.
Second, if I've already watched all of the Red Vs. Blue episodes (and loved them), do the extra features of the DVDs make them worth the purchase? The DVD fan in me leaps for joy at the thought of audio commentary on these discs, but the pessimist in me thinks it'll be stupid. Any opinions from owners of the discs?

I loved the 1st DVD, and would have paid for it just to have it DVD format, the extras are just gravy for me.
I didn't watch any of the 2nd season, deciding to just wait for the DVD. It arrived yesterday, maybe I'll watch it right now....
So I'm not really answering your question I guess, sorry. I did enjoy the commentary on the 1st DVD, but doubt that I'll listen to it more than once more in my life. There were also several fun, but minor, easter eggs on the first DVD if I recall.

If you have the money to spend on the DVDs I say get them.
Season 1 was great and my only problem is that during dialog I have to turn up the volume and when the action starts I have to turn it back down. The levels are a little out of whack.
Season 2 is a pretty weird season. There is a ton of stuff going on and to me it's way more complex than the first season.....but once again I'm glad I bought the DVD.
The commentary is ok but I think just having something as odd as this in my collection is worth it. My boss was overseas for almost 2 years fighting and while they were over there him and his soldier buddies got into Halo. I took my portable player in and showed him the first Red Vs. Blue episode. He LOVED it.

Okay because I didn't want to start a new thread on Red vs Blue,I just want let the fans here know that RedvsBlue is ending very, very, very soon. Episode 99 was put up last week, and the final episode will be Episode 100. And againist my better judgement,I watched the final season's episodes, and laughed through out plus my god it was awesome. I really hope Roosterteeth doesn't change the Gamestop dvd release date from July 2nd,because I want to rewatch this on my bigger tv,plus I wanna see all the special features that they better be cooking up for the Fifth and Final Season.
Oh and does anybody else think its weird that they aren't gonna use Halo 3 in the redvsblue series? Well I'll be happy to own the complete redvsblue series,as I have loved it,and when the 5th season comes out here in a few weeks,I'm gonna watch the complete series back to back, then the special features back to back. Sorry to see redvsblue go tho.

I was in Austin last month, and the RT guys came to a cinema drafthouse for a show. They answered questions, showed an episode, and showed some unseen clips/outtakes. They were cool, and the overall Alamo Drafthouse experience in Austin was the highlight of the vacation.
