I rented it and my fiance and I were enjoying playing through it....basically played through Episode 1. I hav eto return it soon, but I would pick it up when it hits $20 or so. (since I hear it's a REALLY short game)

Man, I really suck at racing games, so the pod race took longer than I care to admit.
You and me both. Although, in my (and your) defense, it seems a bit more difficult than anything else I've encountered in the game so far.
Great game, though; I think I might even be able to get my wife to play it with me. As a side note, perhaps I'm in the minority, but I really enjoy things like this (and Katamari Damacy) whereby I can just pick it up and play it to unwind, rather than have to crank myself up to get in the mindset of the game. Simple? Perhaps. But really, really fun.

Had him drop out on a couple of sections (like the pod racing, etc) since it ramps up the difficulty quite a bit playing those sections coop with a 6 year old

I got a question.
ive beat all 3 episodes ( I havent gone back & got all the pieces yet ) & the door with the question mark still wont open.
How do you get it to open & what lies behind it ?
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm an adult and I loved it. It's very simple though, so if you're looking for a challenge it might not fit that bill. However its appeal is pretty widespread.
I didn't think there was a GBA version though....

From earlier in the thread, the console game can be beaten in around 4 hours easily, and it will take probably 10 at most to unlock everything.
I haven't heard much about the GBA version, so I can't help you there. I imagine it's a vastly different game than the console one though.

Just checked gamefaqs, looks like the GBA version is fairly similar (top down 2D ala Zelda) and it was reviewed almost as high as the console version, so it's probably a pretty safe bet to pick up.
I"m pretty surprised, most GBA ports tend to be shovelware not worth bothering with.

Beat the game the other day and finally unlocked Episode IV last night (my hats off to you, invincibility code!). Being Darth Vader is cool. Now I just need to get all of the mini-kit pieces.
I forget where exactly to go. Sorry. There's a walkthrough here, though.

So there's not a code to unlock episode IV? From what I've read you have to do the following?
Unlock Episode IV
Unlock the superkit (the Tantive IV model outside Dexter's Diner) by filling the Jedi bar while playing. This incidentally unlocks access to the mystery door.
Filling the Jedi bar is not a simple function of money, but also in grabbing all the pre-staged LEGO studs in each mission. Dying in a stage will reduce the Jedi bar (although once the bar is at maximum and pulsing, it cannot diminish).
In vehicular missions (particularly the pod race), the player needs to smash and destroy all the destructable objects to gain money. The invulnerability cheat ($1,000,000 in the shop) can help you get a full Jedi bar in most of the non-vehicular stages.

Revision is good...
Just got this game on Sunday and it's awesome! I think it is one of the more fun games, thus far, that I have played. I'm a huge Lego fan and so are the kids which makes this one great seeing people brake apart into small Legos.

This is a fun game. Picked it up yesterday on sale.
The framerate seems pretty spotty. I was playing co-op and things would slow to a crawl when there were a ton of things on screen.
So far it is a blast.

I just rented this game with one of my free BB rental coupons, and I thought it was pretty cool. It's not exactly much of a challenge, but it's the sort of game that you would just run through for fun every now and then. So it's probably worth owning just for that if you like star wars.
My kid (7 year old boy) absolutely f'ing adores it. Definitely on the x-mas list.

According to the latest issue of EGM, in the rumor mill page, there is news that they may be giving the original trilogy the same treatment. Hopefully they will make it harder though.
