Lunar for Playstation 1

I just purchased Lunar off of e-bay and received it. It had 2 discs in it, but I thought it came with 4 discs.

Help?

The original collector's set did initially come with 4 discs: 2 for the game, 1 music soundtrack, and 1 "making-of" disc.

It was re-released at some point with only the 2 game discs.

I have the actual 2 discs for the games and that's all that matters to me.

I havent played this game since the Sega CD version. Does Lunar 2 hold up to this.

Any news on Lunar 3, seems like they were starting it 4+ years ago

Lunar 2 holds up very well to the original.

I don't think there is any solid anything on Lunar 3.. in fact anything you've heard is probably speculation, I don't recall Gamearts ever mentioning anything about a Lunar 3.

The collector's set also included the excellent Lords of Lunar minigame on the making-of disc. It was a bonus game based on the old Atari game Warlords, but with Lunar characters in each of the 'castles'. It even supports 4-players via multitap.

Decent remake of one of the greatest multiplayer games ever.

Ditto!

Wasn't a big fan of the main game though. I also have lunar 2 but haven't even popped it in yet..

How long is Lunar 1, I read somewheres before that it's only about a 20 hour game. I am up to 16 hours right now and still only on disc 1. I just finished the Red Dragon's cave.

I finally beat it at a little over 31 hours. Great game. I wish more companies would have rpgs like Lunar, and the old FF, breath of fire, lufia, etc.

When I purchased my copy back in the day, I also was able to pick up one of Ghaleon Punching Puppets. Still have it in the box, but.. willing to part with it.
Such an awesome game, although the VO is a bit annoying IMO. If you're into games like this, I recommend the Tales series from Namco, Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Destiny 1 & 2... excellent games!

Loved Lunar 1 and 2. I have both collector's sets and I did have both Sega CD versions, but sold them. I was suppose to get the Punching Puppet, but as usual the store employees made sure they got their bonus stuff and screw the customers. Another reason I hate EB.

Anyway, it did originally have 4 discs, but the current version is only two. Lunar 2 even had a spot to put the demo disc. Working Designs does do a nice job on their collector's sets.

How long was Tales? Someone told me he finished it in around 25 hours and wouldn't recommend it.

We can always hope. I really loved the storyline of 1, but 2 just didn't touch me in the same way. Ah well.

Does anyone have info on Working Designs' next collectors set?

Can anyone tell me if these games are any good? We've got the Lunar and Arc the Lad boxes, and I'd hate to miss out on a Working Designs box.
