Next question...

Can I copy my XBox Live to my new XBox, or do I have to go out and buy a whole new Live package?

Yes you can copy it, but you will need to have an Xbox Memory Unit to do this. In the Xbox Live section of the Xbox Dashboard:

i) Select Account Management, and choose the account you want to copy.
ii) Select Copy/Delete, and then select the Xbox Memory Unit to copy to.
iii) Move the Xbox Memory Unit to the new Xbox and follow the same procedure, except this time copy it from the Xbox Memory Unit to the Xbox hard disk.

After this is done, you can delete the account from the original Xbox and optionally delete it from the Xbox Memory Unit.

Actually, you should also be able to use the "Account recovery" feature on the new Xbox to download your account if you don't have a MU. See http://www.xbox.com/zh-SG/support/live/acc-recovery.htm

Yeah, but it sucks to do it that way.

Thanks for all the help on copying XBox Live. I'll try it tomorrow.

I still have not traded in my old XBox at EB. I've been too busy with work. Any idea of how much I can expect in trade?

Maybe, but it beats having to purchase a memory card for those who don't already have one.
