I did once. Metal Gear Solid for PS1. Started it about 8am finished it around 6pm. Second time I'd beat it so I knew what to do. But that's the only one. What games have you completed in a day??

Pretty much every NES game I own, except for Zelda of course.

I think Bionic Commando was one of the longer ones that didn't have any kind of save system or code. That and it was tough as nails.
But never on the first try. Not that I can think of anyways.

Just recent games that come to mind
Gitaroo Man
Contra (PS2)
Max Payne 2
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Also went through a 2 year season mode in WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth
Now I try to limit my gaming to a couple hours a game per day. I feel ripped after I beat a $50 game in a day.

I got a copy of Diablo PC the day it came out, got home and starting playing around 9 PM, and played through until around 5 PM the next day. Finished it!

Resident Evil 1 for Playstation. My cousin borrowed the game and system from a friend, but no memory card. I had already beaten it, so I already knew where to go and what to do. We actually recorded it onto a tape (not sure why), I wonder if I still have it. Oh yeah, it only took less than 3 hours, because we were able to get the rocket launcher to begin the next game.

Once, as a kid, I got really bored, and I played Commando through eight times straight on the C64. The game restarts at level 1 if you finish, so I just kept going each time. I got bored on the ninth time, and I think that when I quit, I had 13 lives left.

Like mentioned above most NES games required time and dedication since there was no save system. Couple memorable ones:
Mega Man 2: Beat with 1 man (not on first try though, well after I mastered the game)
Ninja Gaiden 2: Beat with 1 man on the first try. Good thing it was a rental.

ps2 Zone of Enders : Game was freakin short, think it took about 4 hours and was for the most part super easy.
snes Spiderman: Maximum Carnage : Whoever the hell decided to ship this game with no save feature needs to be dragged out in the street and shot, nothing worse then getting to the end and having Carnage hand me my ass, then have to start the game all over.

All the time as a kid. Since I mostly play RPGs now, the only one I can think of off hand is Gungrave for PS2, which a friend and I rented and tore through in about two hours.

I've beaten a variety of games in one sitting, mostly NES or SNES games. My favoritie accomplishment was when I had a free day and nothing to do and beat Legend of Zelda in one sitting. I had beaten the game several times before, so I knew where everything was, but it was still fun.
