I've played all the previous GTA games back to the PC/PS1 days and this is the first mission that makes me uncomfortable.

Trailer.

Didn't quite grab me like the Flock of Seagulls or Kool and the Gang trailer for VC or the opera trailer for GTA3, but still gets me really excited nonetheless. I can't wait to see the Las Vegas city.

Well MTV is all gangsta, so you know they had to write about it. Pretty soon we'll see Eminem and Missy Elliot saying they can't wait to play it, and it'll be featured on TRL.

There's a rumor in this month's EGM stating that this will be released on the Xbox next march. I hope it's true cause this game looks awesome!

Whoa that looks awesome! There's a few new pics in this month's PSM with a couple of guys doing a drive-by on a motorbike in the country. Looks sweet

PStwo and GTA:SA released together?

Some new news from IGN:

Word on the virtual street is a more compact PlayStation 2 could be released next month right alongside Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The new PlayStation, said to ship at a $150 pricepoint, is allegedly 30% smaller than the current design and will come with a built-in broadband adapter (hopefully there's still room for the hard drive if it's true).

These reports come after American retailers have asked Sony to once again drop the price of PlayStation 2 in time for the holiday shopping season. And while it's not exactly what Wal-Mart and the rest have requested, it might boost sales.
Officially, "Sony has no PStwo plans at this time." Unofficially, Sony has already applied to copyright the PStwo. And this extra bit of analyst driven rumor only helps to bolster the likelihood of it being real, though it seems October may realisitcally be a bit too soon for a launch, given there has been no marketing whatsoever up to now, and the original PSone launched right alongside the PS2, so as to not hinder any additional sales of the first system,.

We'll have more information on this if and when it becomes available.

New trailer and San Fierro preview up. This game is looking greeeeeeeeat.

After looking at that map, the game is a lot smaller than I expected. With all the hype about how huge it was, I was expecting each city to take up just a small corner of the entire game map and wide, wide open space between them.

OK, #1 That looks friggin' huge to me. #2 I already spend too much time looking at the desert between LA and Vegas, I don't need to recreate every boring square mile in my game (though I sure hope the giant thermometer is in there so I can destroy that ugly ol' thing). #3 The Vegas-inspired city isn't even in that map.

I'm not saying that I wanted to drive across long stretches of open desert. I'm just saying that all of the "OMG IT TAKES 10 HOURS TO GO FROM ONE CORNER TO ANOTHER!!!" quotes hyped up the size of the game.

It looks like there's space almost equal to the entire VC map between cities. That's big, but then again, I don't know if it supports the 30-40 minutes to drive from one end to the other hype. Plus, Las Venturas can't be much bigger than the other areas of the game.

A much better trailer. What's with that Eazy-E looking guy? Also that looks strangely like Tommy Vercetti jumping over the flames with the chainsaw . . .

Wow that looks awesome! Soundtrack got me hyped as well. So on that map above the Las vegas portion is going to be added?

Anyone check out the videos of the plane flying around the mountain? Amazing!

Awesome trailer.

I'm totally stoked about this game now. The eating thing still has me VERY worried though. I'm hoping there will be a code to turn this off.

I believe it has. I preordered it at GameRush and they gave me the 10/26 date. No problem for me. I still have to buy a PS2 to play it on when it comes out.

I pre-ordered it yesterday for 10/26. I'm so ready for this game. It's gonna be a long few weeks.

Crappy graphics aside, this game looks like a lot of fun.
