Only if I enjoy them. Life's to short to waste time playing a game I'm not having fun with. If I don't like it I'll sell it.

No I don't. I always finish the RPGs (if they have an end) but other games are pretty hit and miss. If I get bored at some point, I see no real reason to finish as 99.9% of the time the ending is disappointing anyway.

I like shorter games (1-5 hours preferrably) so I have an easier time going through them. If I love a game like the recent Metroid:Zero Mission I'll play until I beat the game or hit a spot I can't get past. I'll keep trying and if I still can't get past it I'll shelve it until a later date.

I have a tough time with RPG's and the most I've played with them recently is 10 hours with DQ 7, 11 hours with FF 6. and I got 5 stars in Paper Mario. Yet for some time a couple years ago I was buying them like crazy but I was barely playing them. I've vowed to stop buying them altogether except ones that suit my interests and ones that are different (Mega Man Command Mission, Mario and Luigi, Kingdom Hearts, etc)

To sum it all up I hit a record last year when I beat around 40 games and this year I've already finished like 10 games.

I'm in the same boat as the original poster. I have have the money to buy all the games I want, but never the time.

The only games I've EVER finished were the Diablo series, the Fallout series, Jedi Knight (Dark Forces 2) and KOTOR.

Here was my effort to catch up:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=268502

I went from 21 unfinished games down to 2. I'm back up a little, though, because I got 3 games as gifts, got 4 games in the EA $25 off sale from right before Christmas, and bought two games used.

I guess I need to resurrect that thread and resurrcet my fight against the unfinished games
