Suikoden II is hands-down the best RPG I've ever played.

Star Ocean: The Second Story is uniquely amazing. Very underrated.

I'm glad someone mentioned Star Ocean. It has been a couple years since I played it. Got about halfway through and haven't picked it up again, although not a week goes by that I don't think, man, I should just do it. Just finish it, it was so much fun! I was trying to play Kingdom Hearts the other day and felt like I was missing out by not playing Star Ocean. The next 2 weeks are booked for me, but after that, I think I will finish it. Or better yet, start over

Has anyone here tried Arx Fatalis yet for xbox? I've read some good reviews but haven't gotten around to picking it up.

Does it play similar to Morrowind?

It's Ys I & II Eternal.

It's a Japanese action RPG for Windows.

There is a fan translation that patches the game to english.

So where can I get this game (legally, I mean) and where can I find that patch?

Here's the comapny mail order site in Japanese:
http://www.falcom.co.jp/mailorder/game/index_ys.html

Here's their mail order instructions.. scroll down for english.

Pretty much send an email to [email protected] stating that you are in the USA and you'd like Ys I Complete and Ys II Complete (CD or DVD version). They will reply with the total plus shipping, then you'll send you CC information.

The games will run about $45 a pop, plus EMS shipping.. so expect to pay a little over $100 for both.. but it's much better than buying them from a US store ($70 each plus shipping).

Your best bet to be able to play them is to have Windows XP because of it's cool region settings, and the ability to run Japanese programs without having to switch to Japanese mode.

Price seems steep but it's still very tempting.

They don't accept international money orders?

How long are these games?
