Which system has the most comfy controllers?
I am looking to buy new controllers to use with my pc (Call of Duty, MOH, emus, etc).
I went out and bought some cheapy $15 controllers at Best Buy and I already hate them. The Start and Select buttons don't work, and they squeak when you hammer the D pad.
I saw a post about how you can buy a USB adapter for pretty much any console controllers and use those on your pc. I havent owned a console since N64, so I'm not sure which are the best. Before I go to the store and try them all, I want to know your feelings.

My fave was N64 before the GC came along. XBox's are much better than PS2, but not as good as Nintendo's brand.

I voted Gamecube, but if I am playing a racing game without a wheel I really like the XBox original (not S). XBox runs a close second to GC, because my hands are so big.

funny... i used to think the ps2 controller was the pinnacle of comfort... then i got used to the xbox's controller s. but, of the 3, i think the nintendo is the most comfortable.
but, they have different buttons and layouts... i don't think it's worth using one over another (although using the wavebird for the xbox would be pretty nice)

The GCN controller is the best and most comfortable controller (except for the placement of the z button). All the buttons are different sizes so you can tell which button you are pressing by feel. The next would be the PS2 followed by the XBOX and N64.

PS2 is the best controller, with the most buttons, and designed more in mind for all kinds of games.
Though my favorite controller is still the 6 button Sega Saturn pad. If you are planning on using a controller for console emulation, it is the best...though finding a Saturn to PC adapter might be harder..

Playstation controls have always given me trouble, never owned one but never got one simply because I don't like the button (size- layout on on controller at all.

Xbox S controller is my fav. It has the best analog sticks, d-pad, and triggers of all the controllers. The original Xbox controller really stunk it up though with the terrible button design.

Gamecube by far, especially the Wavebird.
It fits my hands perfectly, and I love the button layout. I never hit the wrong buttons and the L&R triggers are sooooo comfy.
The Z-button is pretty crappy, but it's really not anyworse than any other shoulder button (i.e. the dual shock, GBA, SNES etc's L&R buttons). Thankfully it's not used much.
The X-box type S is nice as well. The white and black buttons are tough to reach though and the triggers aren't as comfy.
The Dual shock I don't like that well. One, they need to swith the placement of the left analog stick and the d-pad, and I hate the shoulder buttons.
The Original X-box controller is the worst this gen. It's just an oversized behemoth (like the console itself) and is just to big to be comfortable for me, and again the white and black buttons are hard to reach.

The Gamecubes corded controller is the most comfortable to me. I didn't even realize this though until a few days ago when I bought I-Ninja for my PS2 and the controller felt foreign and cumbersome to me. I do like the PS2 controller though since it has 4 shoulder buttons, that's the only thing I dislike about the GC controller only having two and the lousy Z button.

PS2 controllers feel so flimsy. I feel like I'm going to break them. They feel like they're a toy for an 8 year old. The normal GC controller is a little better, but not much. Wavebird is great for the wireless aspect and a little better than the normal GC controller, since it is a little bigger.
XBox Controller S is the king of controllers for me. Perfect size, perfect analog sticks. The only thing I might suggest is two triggers on each side instead of one, but I don't think that is very important.
