I finally found a place that has this to rent today.
Snagged the XBOX version and I'm going to spend all night tonight and all day Monday playing.
I don't have the cash to buy it right now so I'm gonna try and play it till I'm tired of it.

Hmmmm...guess this thread has been kinda slow tonight.
I just started Episode 1V with +12
The controls are by far the worst part of the game. It makes doing each thing a real chore.
If you try to follow someone and can only find a car facing the other direction it's a pair to turn it around. Maybe it's just me but the cars I've driven so far don't pivot.
I've hit a glitch and it's driving me nuts. When I go to start moving in a car the car will start off very slow. Normally I would this is some of the lower end cars warming up but even the ricer I drove seemed to move real slow to start. Then all of a sudden it'll take off.
Voice acting is pretty darn good so far. I heard lips moved in time with the words and at times that is the case.
I never want to visit LA. My gawd it's just way too big. I'll be on my way to a location and start chasing a perp and the next thing you know I'm wayyyyyy far away from where I'm trying to get to.
Clipping in this game is awful and I'm amazed so many people are letting it slip. I was fighting a guy on a bridge and he was hung up in the rail. He was hurting me but my kicks did nothing to him.
If I had spent 50.00 on this game without playing a bit of it I would of been very upset but it's well worth a rental. I guess I played way too much GTA3 and now I just get tired of games with the same general concept. This certainly isn't a rip off of GTA but it's too similar for me too get really into.
When this game comes down in price I'll certainly have to give it another shot and just buy it to have such an expansive and creative game.
I think 3 1/2 out of 5 stars is about right for this game.

Hey Big O,
The easiest thing is to just make quick turns, so that the guys chasing you cant follow, or go through fences and other path's that arent roads...that usually works.
Oh and to easily get your karma up just go and frisk a ton of people (B button on Xbox)...every one you find raises your karma one. I have like +30 karma so it gives me a ton of slack to mess around.

i also hit a glitch the other night, after a mission, it says drive, but i couldn't get into my car..or any car! i thought it was my controller so i switched configuration and that wasn't it...i just turned off my xbox and turned it back on and it went back to normal..but weird glitch.

It is a shame they didnt spend another 3-4 months fixing the bugs and polishing it. If they did that it would've went from a good or great game to an amazing game.

Can someone tell me how to handcuff suspects? I rented the game (so no instruction book) and the loading tip I saw is up way too quickly to read. I think I've hit all the buttons at a suspect who's arms are up and it doesn't seem to work. Also, how do you fire your gun in the air? (For the Xbox, btw.)
About the car chasing missions. I actually just did my first one of those and it was kicking my ass. However, once I tried backing up at first and ramming the other car, than leaping out of the car and shooting the hell out of the chasing car, diving out of the way when they came at me. Eventually I had taken out their tires, so I simply got back into my car and drove away. Piece of cake.
We'll see if it works on later missions.

From: Somewhere out there... YES THERE!!!
you have to hold down the left analog stick and hit b to cuff them...
if you use x instead you will show your badge (some will give up when you do that) and if you use R button you can fire a warning shot into the air to try to scare them
oh and you can only cuff them when they are unconscious from you beating the snot out of them. You can also cuff anyone on the street .. most times you'll find nothing but i found drugs on an old woman one time lol.

I think I'll need to start a new game. I got bored and curious and think I took out a few too many innocent folks. I'm -99 now and I had SWAT come at me a few times.
The SWAT crew is pretty dumb because I stood in the street and waited for them and they turned around and went the other way. I'm sure they were going to sneak up on me from another direction or something equally cunning.
I'm honestly bored with the game already. The branching idea was a nice idea but I don't care for it. I'd rather have my character choose the path and not have it be up to me.
I had a few more glitches today and they too helped to sour my opinion of this game. I was being chased by a gang and the camera switched to their car and I could no longer see where I was going. That one is part of what triggered my killing spree. There were a few more just as annoying.
I agree with flashburn.....a little bit longer and this game would of been much more fine tuned and darn near perfect.

So while in the normal stance, just press the Right trigger to fire a warning shot? I thought all that did was pull out your gun and fire it straight?

Yeah, to fire a warning shot you hold down left stick and press the R trigger. To show your badge you hold down the left stick and press X. To cuff the perp, hold down the left stick and press B.

I'm confused. What exactly does "hold down the left analog stick" mean? Push it down (button press) or literally hold it in the down position?
I only ask because I think I tried both and neither worked. Is it a skill you have to get?

Anyone else notice that after you bust someone, if you frisk anyone that's close ( usually the closest person to you), you'll find either drugs or weapons about 75% of the time? Is this just me or has anyone else experienced this?
When I do random searches I probably find stuff less then 5% of the time.

Oh just thought of a tip for you guys that might have trouble cuffing the perps. When they surrender, keep an eye out for them to drop their weapon. If they drop it, 9 times out of 10 they will stand there until you cuff them. However, if they continue to hold the weapon with their hands in the air, 9 times out of 10 they will shoot you when you move in to arrest or just run off. When I see them still holding their weapon, I just punch them and then we end up fighting
