From Al Lowe:

For the thousands of you who have written and expressed support of me becoming involved with the new game, I have news: your efforts are being heard. I have been in contact with Sierra many times over the past week and, while nothing is finalized yet, today Sierra's legal department said I could release the following (grammatically challenged) message:

"Currently, I am in the process of negotiations with Vivendi Universal Games and my involvement with the next installment of the Leisure Suit Larry. Once we have reached an agreement I will be able to comment more on my involvement."

I'll leave it to the message boards to discuss the full meaning and ramifications of this.

preview of it with interview http://www.adventuregamers.com/display.php?id=315

The LSL series got progressively naughtier as time progressed. How offensive will MCL be?

Very much so, apparently. Besides the still-amazing fact that you can score with fifteen different girls, there will be full-frontal nudity accessible without the need of an easter egg—a first for the series. The designers appear quite eager to take the series out of PG-13 territory and fully into the R-rated world of American Pie. The question here will be whether there's enough sweetness and likeability (and as mentioned above, genuinely interesting story progression) to save the game from being one big pornfest. Because let's be honest here; there are less frustrating ways to look at porn, if that's all you want to do, then play an adventure game.

A new Space Quest game would cause me to do unnatural (or very natural) things in my trousers.

I'm with you here. These were and still are some of my favorite games. Decent sales for LSL and we might just see some renewed interest in this dying (dead???) genre. I'd really like to see new King's Quest and Police Quest games (stepping away from the "swat" angle and back to it's roots). I remember with one of the King's Quest games, having to spend like $250 on system memory upgrades just so I could play the game......

Yes, I remember doing this also! Phantasmagoria also triggered an upgrade.

I just recently took the plunge and got an XBox, so I've been checking this forum out. This thread has brought back some fond memories... and I'm very interested in Leisure Suit Larry making a big comeback.

They can stay away from King's Quest if it means more games like VII and VIII. V was probably the best of the series, followed by VI. Maybe III after that.

I disagree. I would rank them I, III, IV as the best in this series. I started off with III and had to go back and play the first two. Those are some great games. I also loved IV but the point and click on V turned me off the series. I also loved the first Quest for Glory, LSL 1-3 and the first Space Quest and Police Quest.
