Anyone getting DDRMax 2?

I can't wait for this game. Already ordered new pads which will hopefully arrive sometime this week. I like the new song list, which has some more popular tunes on it.

I'm reading that it comes out tomorrow 9/23, but I haven't seen much info about it. Can anyone confirm that it is being released tomorrow?

I'm getting it Had a $20 voucher at EBGames online so it came out to $40 afterwards with the pad.

This will be my first foray into DDR land and I'll be using it to lose weight (I hear it has a cardio workout option). I'll be following the steps on that other thread to make sure my pad lasts.

I just picked mine up today from GameStop.

I heard from some friends, however, that some of the major chains like Circuit City and Best Buy probably won't put theirs out until Friday. They are always a bit delayed when it comes to games.

Amen. All I need is a USB/PS2 adapter. I like the US versions somewhat, but they miss about 95% of the songs I enjoy from the arcade/Japanese versions.

Yeah, and that's really key. My Stepmania folders have 561 tracks in them. In a two-hour DDR session, I go through about 50-60 tracks scattered through all the mixes, with some fan stuff thrown in. I can't imagine being tied to one mix with 20-ish songs... how boring is that?

I searched and all I found was a Unix download site... how do I set up Stepmania for a Windows PC? And how do you download and use new tracks?

Hmm. I don't think we can discuss this here. It's like the difference between discussing Winamp and Kazaa.

Email me if you want more info.

I happened across DDRMax2 at Best Buy Fri nite. $60 for the package that includes the game and the dance pad.

This is my 2nd time playing DDR. First time was on DDR Extreme at the local GameWorks arcade. Light mode is kicking my butt!
