Restart Xbox With Controller?

Im 90% sure I heard about a key combo with the controller that will REBOOT your Xbox. Black button and some others. Anyone know how??

That would be sweeeeet!

I'm so tired of getting off my fat, lazy arse to reboot after my games freeze up bi-yearly... do they have this for PS2 also?!

Edited to add: On an XBox newsgroup, some idiot said...

Hold both triggers then push Start and Back at the same
time

or..

Hold Down Back and Start

Someone also said to try Crtl-Alt-Del if neither of those options work... I don't have an X-Box so I can't test that theory...

You can do that on the GBA, but not on the Xbox.

for the jsrf/sega gt combo disc, if you held start and back at the same time it would work.

You can soft reset by holding both triggers, back, and black if you have a mod chip.

I remeber seeing a website that showed how to mod a memory card to add a reset switch.

Anything you want to know about the xbox can be found at Xbox-scene.com

Here's the link for the reset switch in the memory card.

The Dreamcast was able to do this. I rarely used it, but when I did it was incredibly useful.

This doesn't work for all games but if you hold down the start and Back button you can do a soft reset.

I believe this is only possible if your XBOX is modded, as some of the BIOS available have it built in.

I know for sure holding down Start and the Back button works on Blood wake - I can't remember any others I don't really use it

Soft reset on the Xbox is a per title feature not a hardware feature.

It should be holding Back and Start for 3 seconds in the games that support it.

If you hold L1, L2, R1, R2, then hold select and push start, it will reset tons of PS2 games (basically just holding down all shoulder buttons and hitting start and select). Works on every PS2 game I own I think.

But it is good sometimes to get off your lazy butt and push the button, you need the excercise .

Well, you could start modding a memory card, but if you're too lazy to get up off your chair, why not just plug your Xbox into this?

Top 2 triggers & the start and select button works for me on all X-Box games.
