What sequel would you make?
If you were in charge of a talented development group, had an unlimited budget, and 4 years what sequel would you make?
*Please omit games that already have sequels. (ie: Mario, GTA, Halo, etc.)
Looking for some games that deserve another shot, but for whatever reason have been forgotten. Feel free to include plot lines and features of the game.

Well, it shouldn't really count since a lackluster sequel was released in Japan, but I loved the original Bust a Groove game and would love to see a full-fledged sequel for the PS2.

Mark of Kri had a unique look and style... I'd like to see them make a sequel to that. Perhaps something set in the same world with a few more interesting characters. The fighting and stealth controls were pretty nifty, but the whole thing kinda felt like one big training mission. By the time you learned all the skills and got all the weapons, you were done! A new adventure would be great...
I'd buy it...

Easy. ICO. I loved every aspect of this game. I've played through it atleast 10 times now and it's just as good each time.

A new Pilotwings game would be nice. I know it had a sequel (Pilotwings 64), but it's been seven years since that one was released and I haven't heard anything about another one. If our talented development team is going to take 4 years though, they might as well make it for Nintendo's next console. I suppose our unlimited budget would allow us to tear Miyamoto away from the multiple projects he's overseeing long enough to get his input.

Has there been a sequel to "Bionic Commando"? If not, that would absolutely be my choice.

I loved Bionic Commando on the NES. Hopefully we will see one on a regular console sometime soon.

I would second the Pilotwings mention and also add that i would go for a good sequel to Bushido Blade 1&2. Nothing like picking your character, weapon, and then dueling in an environment where you can try to lure the naginata user into the bamboo forest to cripple them. I also loved the ability to throw dirt in their eyes, cripple their arms and legs, and the fact that there was no energy bar. One solid slash with a broadsword and they died, i loved it. I also dug the fact that there were no real ridiculous moves, characters or weapons - it all seemed feasible.

Vagrant Story from PSone. That game was awesome. Never finished it though.
I also second ICO since I loved that game.
Another few games I think would be fun as updates would be California Games (online of course) and Todd's Adventures in Slime World (from the Atari Lynx). Online games need more pick-up and play type, uh, games that you can play with minmal time investment.

Games without sequels:
========================
Clive Barker's Undying
Freedom Force
Baku Baku (at least release this one for the GBA!)
Gunstar Heroes
Guardian Heroes
Last Bronx (weapons-based competition for the Soul Calibur series)
Quantum Redshift!!!
Skies of Arcadia
Starlancer (on the console)
Enemy Zero
Giants: Citizen Kabuto
Re-Volt
Sword of Berserk
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (it never was a sequel to begin with!)
Powerball!!! The classic Sega Genesis game from Namco You could say Deathrow was a "sequel", but it wasn't as fast paced.
Warhawk, the classic PSX shooter
Syndicate
Vagrant Story
Sin and Punishment
Blast Corps - !!!
Tetrisphere
Space Station Silicon Valley
Body Harvest
Rocket - Robot on Wheels
Games with sequels:
========================
System Shock 2
MDK2
Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2!!! Keep this franchise going!!!
Wip3out!!! Bring back the Red Bull sponsorship, Designers Republic designs and Cold Fusion tunes!!!
Formula One by Psygnosis - why don't they use commentators in racing games anymore?
Tempest 3k isn't it a crime only the Nuon got this???
Pilotwings

Jeremy, a sequel WAS planeed for Quantum Redshift (with ONLINE play), but Curly Monsters went kaput.
I would agree with you on a sequel to Wipeout 3 that's not Wipeout Fusion, but the truth is the people behind the first 3 Wipeout games formed a little group called Curly Monsters, and well..

i would love a sequel to Kid Icarus!
-Rush 'n Attack...it would probably end up being like an updated Metal Gear game.
-Skies of Arcadia...minus all the random battles, maybe even turn it into an aquatic adventure!
-Deception...even though this game did have a couple of sequels already (psone) i would love to see them make a brand new one for the latest consoles!
