So if you get an X-Arcade, you can use it on all future systems, whereas a PS2-only controller will almost certainly work on PS3, but not necessarily on Xbox2 or GCN2.

I just got this as a gift yesterday (the SCII arcade stick) and it's pretty freaking great.
I only played around with it on two games, but that was enough to be able to tell that it rocks.
It feels very natural and comfy. The buttons aren't as sturdy as normal arcade buttons, but they have a good feel to them and they don't click when you press them. The stick itself is great and has a great, balanced feel - it's not too stiff and it's not too loose, it's just right.
It's supposed to have vibration, but I couldn't feel anything.
The chord, at the end, splits off into three (one for X-box, one for PS2 and one for GC). So it's pretty brainless to use.
I first used it on SCII on the X-box, and I imediately started kicking ass - I passed a Weapons Master fight that I was stuck on, on the first try with the stick.
I then wanted to see how it would do on a 2-D game, so I plugged it into my PS2 and put in Guilty Gear XX. It rocked just as hard - it actually made the game easier, so I had to bump up the difficulty in the options.
I totally reccomend this stick and I am blown away at the price, since other sticks cost so much more and I don't see how they can be any better.
The box it comes in is pretty cool, to boot.
Any questions?

I also want to add that it feels very solid and sturdy, not at all like a 3rd party product - it feels very much like a first-party product of whatever console you have it plugged into.

If you buy it, remeber to send that rebate form off, though. Mine's already in the mail.
edit : Just checked online and I guess it's made by the same company that makes the Universal Soul Calibur stick. I therefore assume it's comperable, though maybe not.
And one more thing : The Xbox stick doesn't have a "breakaway" part, so I can't use an extention on it. That's a bit of a bummer, though probably typical of most arcade sticks, I imagine.

I got my X-Arcade when Fry's had it on sale, and love it. The only thing is that it's way too bulky to play with on your lap.
Anyway, the reason I'm bumping this old thread is that Fry's is selling the Soul Calibur II sticks from Nuby for 20 bucks. They bought a boatload, and I guess are trying to unload them. That's cheaper than a regular controller, and it works on all three systems. I bought one a few weeks ago, thinking that they only had a couple... when I went back last week, they had a whole pallet.
I've since retired my inferior Pelican stick that I got when I first bought SCII from Best buy...
