Opening a GBA SP - dirty screen :(
I bought a GBA SP today, for $50, works great, except the screen has a few white specks on the inside, like dust got inside the screen somehow. Does anybody know of a way for me to open it and clean it?

No no no, its a secret deal! :P
I was at Gamestop when somebody came in there with it to trade it in, so I asked them if they would sell it to me for whatever amount Gamestop was going to give them. Gamestop said they would get $60 credit, or $48 in cash, they wanted the cash, so I gave them $50. They ended up making an extra $2 and I got a Cobalt GBA SP for $50 .
Only downside was those little specks, but for the price I couldnt complain. Going to give Nintendo a call today, I assume Gideon meant "I would recommend..."

I called up Nintendo today, the system is still under warranty. They have arranged for Fedex to come and pick it up tomorrow, at their expense. They said that I would get another unit back, it might be new or refurbished, they cant tell me for sure, but they did pretty me assure me I would get a replacement

Nintendo is REALLY good about their stuff, you should have no problems.
Nintendo has recently begun looking for a new provider of screens for the GBA's as Sharp has been producing an unacceptable amount of bad units. Sucks to be them.

Well, in Nintendo's defense Sharp was the only one capable of producing the low power displays they wanted at the time. (At price X)

I sent my GBA SP in twice to Nintendo to remove those damn specks. The second time they finally fixed it but the stupid out sourced repair center scratched the cobalt casing. I got fed up and ebayed it and bought a gba player instead. It was the first time I ever bought a handheld from Nintendo and it will be the last time as well.

Were you playing a game that may of had white specks in it?
