Not true, the owner mode has been enhanced. You can set ticket prices, food prices, and that kinda stuff.

You can change your defense after the snap (You have about one second to do this) You can also change your zone coverage before the snap.

On offense you can actually tell your blockers who to block, and you can send your receivers on different patterns.

The overall presentation has changed too.

I think the poster was wondering what was the difference between the X-Box and PS2 versions (which I would like to know too!) and if there were any differences between the same game on the different platforms in previous years, not the difference between Madded 2003 and 2004.

Get the X-box version.

I'm in the same boat as you, don't like online gaming and just got an X-box.

The X-box version will probably have DD 5.1, probably look the best (at least as good as the others) and the HD is a huge plus for sports games.
Yup, that about sells it for me. I'll be going Xbox. Actually it's really just for selfish reasons now. I've only had an Xbox for a couple of weeks, none of my friends have it & I just got an HDTV not that long ago, so now my place will probably become the home of our Madden bowl.

This was answered earlier:

I talked to a Gamestop manager yesterday and he did indeed say they will be getting it early (Monday) and that you need to preorder to get it that day. Needless to say, I preordered (haven't gotten a new Madden in a couple years).

I read that, thanks, but I'm talking about someone walking into a store and seeing it on the shelf for sale.
