I own maybe a dozen Xbox games... Halo, Timesplitters, Rallisport... never had more fun than playing SSX Tricky. I love this game. The first one where I just sit there and don't want to stop.

What other skating/boarding games would you rec? Amped seems like an obvious choice and I'm curious about Kelly Slater's Surfing title.

Freekstyle a motocross game is very similiar

I too liked SSX tricky.

Splashdown was fun.
Wakeboarding unleashed is strangly addicting too.

Kelly Slater's pro surfer, neat surfing game, but not as much fun as the aforementioned ones.

There is another snow boarding game by the people who made Kelly Slater's pro surfer, pretty much the same stuff as Amped.

I love Amped, but am just lukewarm on Tricky. Amped is more of a sim, where you really have to land correctly, balance, and time things right; there is no real racing elements to Amped, like Tricky is all about. That said, remember, I do like Amped a lot more than I liked Tricky, buy YMMV. Amped is more about exploring the mountainside to find where all the good spots to do tricks are, then doing tricks at those spaces. Also, the graphics on Amped are much more realistic than Tricky (Imho)

I also suggest you pick up Tony Hawk 4. Amped and Hawk 4 can be had for 14.95 each at BB (with use of a Gamer Gift Card $5.00 coupon)

if you got a PS2 get Downhill Domination. It's like SSX but on Mountain Bikes. Kick ass game. Of course, my friends and I are big time mountain bikers so we are kinda biased
