Doom III and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Delayed until 2004
Doom III is delayed until at least the first quarter of 2004, with ID saying it will come out "when it's done."

I'm thinking Valve has done the smarter thing by not building up the hype any more than necessary until now for Half Life 2.
Obviously Doom III will sell a ton of copies, but this much build up has got to work against you at some point.

Argh!! I knew it would happen to Final Fantasy:Crystal Chronicles. I was really looking forward to that one. But February is usually a slow month for games so having a game like Final Fantasy coming out during that month is pretty nice

HL2 will own all. Ill get Doom3, of course, but the idea of playing updated versions of TFC/DoD etc (hopefully some1 updates em!) is just to much!
