I play online from time to time. Jumping into a pick-up game is usually disaster. The best thing to do is play a scheduled game using Neverwinter Connections. A lot of good players there who are very accomidating to n00bs.

I play and help DM an online world. There are only three of us who DM, and two of us who create, so we stay small, but our players have a lot of fun.
