I found the birdie challenge to be, well, less than challenging. I passed the first 9 on my first try and it took two times on the back 9. Actually the sides games section as a whole were a lot easier than I expected.

Just beat courses 4 and 5 back to back, 4th (my second time and first since I got a star player) by like 14 shots and 5th (my first try) by 5 shots

think I finished #5 at -3 I took a couple pipe shortcuts and had an Eagle on a par 5 that I took a pipe but also hit water or O.B. on a few holes and a few easy putts i missed (I always forget when its raining and you need to hit it much much harder) I could probably get to -8 or so

If I went and really tried on course #4 i bet I could get -16 or even -18 I have birdie putts every hole and if I studied when to hit on the par 5's could maybe get a couple eagle putts in there

I still need to try birdie challenge back 9 and all 18 and finish the character challenges, just beat Mario on 18th hole on my first try (he was first char I had to go past hole 14 on)

If you only did the front 9 and back 9 seperate you are not done with the birdie challenge. You need to do all 18 in a row now.

I only hit it in like 3 pipes the whole match, they were the ones that were pretty much near the landing area for my tee shot (I had a big lead so on one of the par 5s I cranked it up to reach a pipe and made the green in 2 and got an eagle) Just watch where you're landing the ball and whats in front of you for the 2nd shot and you can easily stay around even par and win the tourny. I haven't played the 6th course yet but will give it a go tonight after work and have to finish the last 2 character challenges and the birdie challenge

Anyone know if those thing will unlock anymore of the hidden characters? So far I only unlocked Petey Pirana

how many ring challenge courses are there? I did 3 courses worth today and actually really like them, some on 3rd course (sand one) were pretty tricky to figure out how to do them like the last one on a par 5 with 3 rings in out of bounds areas to get thru

SO I get the feeling this game is really cheap with the way it plays with the laws of physics just to toughen up courses? Can anyone refute this? Like the wind effecting a ball different on one course than another. That's a deal breaker for me.

I know people have been complaining about it but I haven't seen it. It's possible the wind would vary based on mountains and other things that could be blocking the wind at certain points in the shot, but it doesn't seem to matter that much. The wind definitely affects the shots but seems to do it appropriately and consistantly. Just my opinion, of course, obviously others disagree with me.

haven't noticed the flawed physics. the wind affects the ball and arc of the shot as much as any other golf game i've played.

I don't see it either...are you seeing different wind speeds on the courses? Not to embarrass you by stating the obvious, but stronger winds will have a bigger effect on your ball.

That is my main beef with the game. I've played each course several times. I've played the same hole several times where the wind would be the same direction, but a bit slower one time more than the other. Sometimes the slower wind will affect the ball more than the greater wind. How that happens is beyond me.

I've seen 2 sets of 4 so far. Not sure if you can open more up. The ring challenges make excellent multiplayer games. The more players you add the more rings there are (and they are generally spread out). You really have to work together to strategize getting them and if one player misses a ring you can try a shot to pick them up. It's tough because all the players have to par the hole, I've done it with 3 players and it was awesome.
