Adapter for Car on XBOX

I am trying to find out if the make some sort of adapter to plug into you car lighter for the XBOX. My kids would love to play the greatest system while in the back of the van. Can someone please help me out and let me know if they make a adapter or plug?

You won't be able to find a simple adapter for this. You need to get an "inverter". Most auto parts / walmart stores will have these. This small device will allow you to plug in any AC device that uses low current. Don't expect to plug in a hair dryer or 20" tv in it but, any of the game systems will work just fine.

Yep, an inverter is all you need. I have a Ps2 installed in my car and that is what I use. But instead of putting it in the lighter I wired it directly to the battery since the Ps2 is permanantly installed.
You can see it in the corner of this picture. It is great for dvds too.

That looks nice... But wouldn't you get in trouble for that hook-up if you ever get pulled over for anything?

It is legal to be out. It displays cd track info and stuff when you are playing a cd. If I am watching a movie, or playing a game (front-seat passenger of course) and get pulled over I have a kill switch that I can hit with my foot

Aren't you afraid someone will break in and steal it? I don't even have a car CD player for that reason. I use my MidiDisc player and a cassette adapter for music and a portable DVD player for movie viewing.

I have a REALLY nice alarm. Plus when you turn off the car it fold into the dash so that you would never even know it was there.

If it folds into the dash, what is the point of a "kill switch?"

to impress your friends. LOL, I use to have an accord, boston geroge, I rememeber telling you about it, when we were talking about your rims, I had 5 tv's set up in mine, 1 in the dash like boston george's two in the visors, and two in the headrests. I was working on an Escalade for a customer at my friends shop who will have 15 tv's in it, the thing is crazy, it has an extra two batteries just to supply power to the setup.
