Need Help - PC Games for ESRB=Everyone

So I'm building a PC for a client's 8 year old kid. They want me to put some games on it as well. What's recent and good and for kids. No Math Blaster or Tonka or whatever... This is a gaming rig and I'd like some games that are going to push the hardware a little bit. Now - some games like Freelancer might be okay - it's ESRB rating is Teen. I'd also like games that don't completely suck.

what about games like Sim City 4, or the Sims? I am pretty sure those are either rated E or T.

Also maybe Civ 3, I think that is E. Maybe any sports game?

He's already got Sim City 4... I'm getting the following so far...

Freelancer
IL-2 Sturmovik
Finding Nemo

They want one or two educational titles. Any good ones that work in XP? Doesn't anyone here have kids?
