PSO & Xbox Live, r u in?
I'm in, and I can't wait. I played PSO on the Dreamcast and i loved it. I held off on getting it for the GC simply beause it didnt seem like a viable solution. Had to get the game, *find* a broadband adapter (which is not easy), its better with a keyboard (expensive import item) plus the subscription fee.
yes, the xbox solution is still a bit pricey (xbox live, plus monthly fee) but I still think its worth it. I haven't decided if i want to play offline first and then go online or just start on live. The release date is still set for the 18th, so r u in?

I'm not in. First they charge a monthly fee on a two-year old game. Then they take away arguably the coolest thing in the game, the ability to communicate between people from different countries with the in-stock text and symbols. I mean, it could very well be in there, but Sega said you'll only be able to connect to North American servers. I remember once it was me and a friend of mine on a team with two people from Japan. We were having conversations and everything - it was so cool!
Anyway, if they say you can get to world-wide servers, I'm in. If they don't, forget it, I'll save my money for a Sony game (Galaxies) or an EA game (Earth and Beyond).

Nope will not pay for this game, not only that but the final nail in the coffin is... you can't even play the OFFLINE version without an Xbox live account. It makes you input your xbox live serial or something when it first starts up or you can't play it at all

I was going to be in, I might still be just for the free 2 months, but it won't be a cheat free enviroment. I just don't know about paying 8.95 a month. My GC JPN Hunter's License was only $12 for 3 months. With the higher license, and probably more cheating I don't think I'll stay past the free online time.

There is a website that has xbox saves that carry cheats for xbox pso. Such as level up, wep modifier, rare item drop, easy money, easy rare monster. Most of these codes are harmless. All of these cheats are only for modded xboxes, it's only a matter of time before they find a way online. Anyways I'll probably be on for the free 2 months, but if it is hard to find a good open game, I won't pay the 8.95 fee. If squidget and pixyboi stay in then I'll probably be in for the free time, knowing I can play with some good people.

I'm going to at least try it for the 2 months. The xbox live required to play doesn't bother me too much simply because I was planning to go live anyway.

So did anyone pick it up? Impressions? Do you have access to different servers like the DC version, or did they really restrict you to only North American servers
?

I'm broke until next Friday!!
I heard it's NA servers only.. and that if you want, Microsoft will send you a free USB adapter for a keyboard if you didn't want to use the voice chat.
