Whose idea was to make the dungeons so long without saving points? I have to leave the GC on and then come back to it, play half an hour, come back later and keep doing that.

BTW this game freaking rocks

That's how its always been. We have learned not to question things like that. It would upset the powers that be.

What's silly is that it just makes you have to leave the GC on until you pass the dungeon, decreasing the GC's life. Maybe it's a conspiracy to increase the number of GCs that break down and bring in revenue through repair centers. Hhhhmmm...

or you could save your game, turn the GC off, and then quickly move through the dungeon back to where you left off. even if it takes a while to find your way back, you'll be getting more hours of gameplay out of the game

This game doesn't need enemies. I keep falling the lava without any help. This is like the sixth time I have to redo a room because I fell into the lava. Sigh.

Ok, this was a long read! I finally finished it though... the thread that is... I am still trying to get into the sage temples in the game. When I got it I played a little and then had school and other stuff to contend with. Now that I am on a break for summer I have more time. I have to say that I love this game, though it does get annoying having to sit through the cut-scenes for various things. Oddly enough I don't mind the wind direction one as much as when I pull something like a Chu-Jelly or a Golden Feather from a treasure chest... they still explain what each is for EVERY time, yet when one (golden feather especially) falls from a bird, I can just pick it up. I am glad to hear that the command song is used again... I was beginning to think that it was pointless, other then in the God's Temple. I am also glad to hear that there are more than two songs for the Wind Waker, and that one of them is within easy reach!

The key to where I am right now is being able to get into Mother and Daughter island. Any hints?

Thanks!

P.S. One of my favorite little things about this game is some of the innovation, mainly in the way that you can:

Spoiler:
Throw a pot with water in it onto Lava to form blocks that you can stand on! That was just awesome!

Ok, I made it into Mother/Child Island and got the treasure there, then I went to Fire Island and got the treasure there! Now I have to get back to work.

Hey, is there anyway to increase the amount of magic that you have? I was trying the birdman competition and I just can't get very far on the magic that you start with. I was hoping that one of the fairies would increase my magic, but nope! (not one that I have found anyway... and I think I have them all. I got the whole map!

C-Mart, there are eight Great Faries total, and two of them are for your Magic Meter. The others are for Bombs, Arrows and Rupies.

Cool! I have something to look forward to then. I have a few islands that I couldn't get to before, maybe I can get to them now. I am currently in the Wind God's Temple.

Aren't there 3 for arrows (1 to put them at 60, 1 to put them at 99, and the final to give the fire/ice arrows?) I know there were two for the others, and that would make 9 total, not 8... or am I wrong?

there is some random island in the middle of the ocean that has a cabana type hut on it, and when you knock on the door, the voice tells you to get away. What is in the hut?

I think the fish in that area gives a pretty good hint as to what's in there:
Spoiler:
a triforce map is somewhere in the cabana

Eventually, you need to get into the cabana. But it'll only open up for the owner of the place. You'll need to gain ownership of the place to get in.

I have taken many pictures of the full moon... pain in the butt because I have to keep using the song to change night to day and vice/versa to get back to a full moon, and he won't take it... he keeps saying "what is pale about that? I said something perfectly round and pale" I had assumed it was the moon before I got the Picto Box, but now I don't know what to think. (He does say something about the focus not being quite right if I take a picture of the sun to him... the moon is paler than the sun, but oh well, I'll keep trying.)

You have to upgrade to a deluxe picto box and take a color picture for him to accept it.

Ah, that makes sense. I just got the deluxe picto, so I'll head back and take care of it. Thanks!

My bad, the second 'magic upgrade' is received when killing one of the ocean Octoroc (squid) thingies. I forget where though.

Yes! I finished it last night. I think I got most everything, but in case I didn't I copied my game over to a new slot... but I think I'll give it a while before I play again.

I thought that the ending was ok, but

Spoiler:
I would have preferred fighting Gannondorf by myself rather than having Zelda help out. She actually hit me a couple of times with the damn light arrows. (before telling me she was going to aim at me).

I’m getting so addicted to this game. I can’t believe I didn’t get it way back when, but I’m so enjoying now. Cut some shrubs, tossed a stubborn pig, good stuff. Seriously, it looks so good and even though I don’t know what I’m doing or what mission I’m working on that, but so far so good.

Wow. A 22 year bump. Insane that it was that long ago. I remember actually using graph paper to make my own map of the sea and locations of treasure and such. A lot of the technicians at work weren't even alive when this game came out and most of the pharmacy residents were probably just 1 or 2.

Same.

Just finished the Earth Temple. Every bit as good as I remember it being.

I played this game with my nieces and it was their first real video gaming experience. They’re married with kids now.

Oldboy has got jokes. Good for you. A knock on family at that.

I’m actually more impressed that you didn’t find a way to mention how much store credit you have or ask an asinine question.
