Yes that's a Street Fighter ONE.
The Sinistar sitdown is one of the COOLEST machines I have ever played, the speakers in the back of the chair so you can FEEL when he says "RUN COWARD!"

Yeah I used to play that Sinistar Sitdown back when there was a Chuck E Cheese right next to my Grandfathers Feed Store. Ah, the old days

thanks dek, for the links, yeah the guy on ebay had it listed for $850, so hopefully if noone buys it this time he will relist for $650, ( Iwish), he says the monitor is in great condition, but it doesn't look that great.
How hard is it to put in a new monitor?
Has anyone seen that old 1995ish skteboarding game that you actually ride on a skateboard, I would kill for that also, now that I am redoing my basement intoa HT/media room, I might have to pick these two up.

Top Skater? Checking the newsgroups, there have been a few for sale in the 2100-2500 range. There was 1 that went for 1075 at an auction like a year ago. Nothing on ebay. Best bet is an auction.

dek it sounds like a good deal to me. What is the monitor like in the cabinet? I always see folks anyplace but Ohio getting rid of good stuff for free or dirt cheap. It doesn't look like there will be another auction coming to Ohio anytime soon either. I am thinking about driving down to Winston Salem to attend the next. The problem is I don't know how I would get anything home if I bought something. I don't want to pay a shipper a couple of hundred to bring it home.

Best bet on finding stuff from the NG's is usually in Philadelphia. If I was close, or within a reasonable distance, I'd rent a U-Haul for a big score and bring it home. Deals are hard to come by anywhere now it seems except for PA.

There is a Online Bulletin Board here in Northern Ca, the guy had an ad for a bunch of games. Road Riot 4wd 2 player sit down for 100, Cool Pool for 50, a rigged up N64 with TV so it looked like it was an arcade cabinet for 75, a Shoot Em Up Basketball for 25, a Pool table for 25, and some other stuff I don't remember.
So I went in and bought the Pool Table and Shoot Em Up basketball (Its 9 ft long and industrial strength, not one of the cheapies) and we went into his other area for some paper and I saw he had some skee ball games. I got one of those as well. The runway on that bastard is like 8 feet long, I really need a new garage.
The guy is a teacher at a Jr High and what he does is he gets people to donate games or they buy broken ones for cheap and he teaches his students how to fix them. Then they sell them for whatever price they want to, and put the money back into the school. The guy is really cool, I even told him I wish I had a teacher like him back when I was in school.
But, as the teaching situation here sucks, he got laid off after teaching there for 10 years. He's teaching next year about 90 minutes away at a brand new school. I told him I worked in Film/Video and if they needed anything to let me know. Turns out they do, so I've basically been hooking him up with tons of stuff I have from over the years that will help teach the kids do do A/V stuff.
Yesterday I was dropping off some old tapes and saw he was working on the Steel Talons. I saw it before but it was in pieces, yesterday it was almost put together. He needs to get another monitor, then its mine he says
Phew
Just trying to build up an arcade for my daughter to play with
If only some bastard didn't beat me to a place by 15 minutes, I'd have a foosball table for free as well

Does anyone have an idea of what some of the early arcade stuff is worth? I happened across some classic stuff yesterday. I have 3 Missile Command PCB's, a control panel from the sit down unit and 2 extra trackball carriage's.
Also I have 3 boards that I can't identify. Does anyone if there is a way to tell what the board is with out hooking it up?

Post on the newsgroups, those guys there will be able to help you with a header like "3 Unknown Boards - Help", you'll probably have an answer in a day or 2.

Wow killer deal, local buy or auction? Are they keepers or Ebay fodder? Targ and Star Castle probably could fetch 200-300 each, Centipede if fixed probably about 600-700. I used to pump quarters into Mat Mania on a daily basis for like 2 years

I may keep Heavy Barrel since I figured out that one of the buttons is what was causing the problem.
I hope to have time this weekend to start working on Centipede. The cabinet is in really good shape the artwork looks great it is missing just some plain white near the control panel.
I hope to get rid of most of them. I may check to see if I can place Mat Mania in a local store and see if I get a little money on it until I find someone who wants it or but another game in it.
Star Castle is fun to play but I'm thinking about selling it and Targ.
Targ is one ugly cabinet. It has wood paneling on it. I forgot to mention that almost none of the games had keys. I had to bust the lock out of the back of heavy barrel to be able to get inside. Targ has a padlock on the front. I'm thinking about going back to the person I bought these from and see if they may have the key. These were in a storage cabinet and not being used. I hope to fix a couple of the machines in their store and get some more for my time. Although my wife is not looking forward to my new found hobby.
