Zone of the Enders 2

I've been wanting to read some more reviews of this game before deciding on whether I want to buy it or not, but it seems like no one is getting the game in early.

I did read one review that said it was only like a 6hr game, with 3 actual gameplay hours which really worries me.

The first one was really good, but extemely short...is konami gonna do this to us again?

IGNPS2 has a Q&A thing for ZOE2 going on today where they answer all the questions people have sent in (may need Insider access though).

The rumors I have heard is that it's longer than the first one, so I'm not sure where this 6 hour thing came from.

We shall wait and see...

Anyone with Insider access want to post some of the discussion going on over at IGN? I'm curious as to what they're saying.

Technically it is a Q&A session with one of the IGN people. They start off the week asking people to put in questions (max. of 2 per person) and then they will come back on Friday at 2pm PT to answer them. I can try to convey some of it before I leave work today.

You can see for yourself. You don't need to be an insider for this. Here's the link.

Then I don't have to convey. Thanks Decker!

As soon as I finish it -- I'll let you know. Haven't played it in a few days. I think I've got about 4 hours clocked so far.

Thought I'd let you all know that IGN gave ZOE2 a score of 8.6

Looks like I'll probably be picking this one up on release day.

Well, after reading about how short this game was, I went ahead and just rented it at BBV.

I'm really glad I just rented it b/c it took me about 4hrs 45min to complete. That's just pathetic!

Sure, it was a fun time, but $50 for ~5hrs of fun? no thanks...

Ow... under 5 hours? That's almost worse than the first game? Anyone else wanna chime in about the game?

Just bought it at Fry's for 37.99, but I might return it if it's that short...

Anyone who beats it under 5 hours is rushing through it.

After you beat it, the game has plenty of extras. There are VR missions, multiplayer modes, and a 3D Gradius bonus game that you can unlock.

What are you expecting from action/shoot 'em up games? Unless they make them exceptionally difficult (see Contra: SS), they do not last very long. In that case, you end up replaying the same levels over and over again.

Nature of the beast.
