I don't count on all these making it out. If Mario 128 makes it out this year I will be absolutly shocked. Luigi and two Mario games in under three years would be mindboggling for Nintendo.
If all these actually make it before Christmas, with the Nintendo priced to move, I could see a resurgence from the once proud powerhouse. However, that said, their image is the problem, their product has always been top notch - marketing however is horrible.
Hopefully it will all get worked out and give them a strong position on which to launch the next platform.
Needless to say these games will force money out of my wallet.

here's my $0.02. the individual games won't by themselves make or break the game system. BUT, as a collection... think about last year, when other gamers asked you to justify the GC. you'd answer with metroid prime (which came out late in the year), super mario sunshine, and 1 or two other titles (eternal darkness, resident evil, animal crossing). however, you start adding in other big names like legends of arcadia, zelda, mario kart - now it's starting to look like a system to own. it's about having a LOT of different choices of top games, not just one or two titles. that being said, and having played the demo to zelda, i have to say, that game BY ITSELF, may very well sell quite a few systems. it's THAT good!

Of all games that will make me buy a cube, I think sonic adventure DX will do it. I also would rather be link than spawn or heihachi in soul calibur 2. The free metroid prime is nice too.

Nintendo has the best line-up by far of the three consoles... Big enough to move them to #2? Doubtful. They should get a ton of systems sold with first party favorites and Final Fantasy. The Gamecube will certainly be supported until the next go round... No early deaths for Nintendo.

I hope this is an Eternal Darkness sequel. I will be real surprised if 2/3 of those games actually make it out this year, with Nintendos reputation of not getting games out when they say.
That list would have looked alot better if it included Perfect Dark. I think it would have been a huge seller for them.

Nothing has been revealed about Mario 128.
Originally it was a tech demo with 128 marios moving around on screen at the same time. But that demo turned into Pikmin (so I've read anyway).
All miyamoto said in annoucing Mario 128 was that he realized Mario Sunshine didn't offer enough new over Mario 64 and that he would fix that problem with the new game.

Miyamoto has mentioned that Nintendo needs to increase their in house development staff in interviews. Not sure what that original team is working on, but its probably Mario Kart or Mario 128 or something like that. F-Zero X was not a big seller on the N64 and thats probably why Nintendo passed it on to Sega to do.
If anyone remembers the N64 days the biggest complaint was that Nintendo's first party games were taking to long to come out and they were too few in number. Nintendo deserves credit for trying to correct that towards the end of the N64 and with the Cube by adding more second party developers (Camelot, Silicon Knights, Retro, etc) and also giving some of the big titles to respected third parties like Sega and Namco. They are doing everything possible to get more quality games on the market faster.
