Soul Caliber 2 gets a graphics boost

the Xbox version will have a 720p graphics boost and is looking pretty sweet. The PS2 version will be pushing the hardware limits... it'll be one of the most visually impressive PS2 games to date. The gamecube version will be the same as the PS2 version except for the variations in certain special characters.

I was still debating between Link and Spawn, but Spawn and 720p have sold me on the X-Box version .

Graphics look very similar on all systems. They're good on all systems but there isn't a clear difference. Just my opinion. I would say this comes down to your favorite controller and extra character. Wonder if it'll have Live support?

don't know why everyone else can see it but you can't, but PS2 and GCN versions have jaggies and the Xbox version doesn't. Other than that, yes - all 3 versions will be amazing.

No big surprise, as the DC version of SC got a big graphic boost.

X-box version does looks noticeably better, but I can't do 720P so it doesn't matter, assuming it will look more similar to the other versions on non HD-TV sets.

Spawn is making me lean towards the Box version anyway.

too bad no 720P on GCN. I don't know why they won't put it on there.

Can the Cube do 720p? I think 480p is the limit.

Anyway can't wait for this to come out. The Dreamcast version was a blast. It would be nice if they at least did 480p for the Cube version.

Ok - because I'm your best friend, here's links to screen shots from all 3 systems... There's tons of screenshots - the site is in Korean. Plenty of Link and Spawn shots... Enjoy.

Spawn looks awsome. When does this come out? I was thinking of buying a big widescreen HDTV in June so I think this pushes me over the cliff.

Not a clear difference with some JPG's, but should be quite evident on a large screen HDTV.

As far as I know most U.S. RPHDTV's do not do 720P. I know Mitsubishi's do not. 480P and 1080i are it on mine. Better make sure before you buy based on this alone.

Perhaps plasmas?

It should still upconvert (or downconvert depending on how you rate 720p) to 1080i.

The Superbowl was in 720P. I don't think too many people complained.
