The gamecube version will be the same as the PS2 version except for the variations in certain special characters.

see?

um... ok... well, I didn't say progressive scan anywhere. I was just posting what was on that site. If you want to think that the Xbox version will look crappy and the PS2 and Gamecube versions will be in 200000p super-progressive scan-o-rama, go right ahead and think that. I don't really care.

I think many things but of the three I think the XBox version will look stunning. I dont have an ultra-expensive TV just a decent one. I know you care >.< that much theres no need to say it again.

So does anyone know if this game is going to be Xbox Live compatible? If I were MS I definitely would have put money into convincing Namco to put it online exclusively for XBL.

Soul Calibur 2 will not be Xbox Live compatible.

Actually, ALL fighting games will never be online in the near future. That's because even current broadband options are not fast enough to deal with the response times required for fighting games. Fighting games require ultra-precise timing to execute certain moves. For example some moves in the Tekken series require you to input a button command with a window of opportunity of only a few frames - 1/30 of a second. The internet doesn't support that fast of a response time as far as I know.

Hate to burst your bubble but there is already a fighting game due out in a week or two that is Live compatable. Ever heard of Capcom vs. SNK 2: EO? I'm not saying Soul Calibur 2 will be Live compatable but if it isn't, it won't be because it's not possible.

Yep, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will be on-line when it comes out, and Capcom vs. SNK 2, which comes out today, is also on XBLive. All reviews have said that it is lag free.
