More XBOX (greatest system) games for $9.99 at EB GAMES!

Thought I would drop the bomb and let all you hommies know the other games EB Games is offering for $9.99. I picked up several copies of each to resell.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer
The Terminator
Bruce Lee

Metal Gear Solid 2 (19.99) In stores for this price, not the internet.

Just ask them to tell you all there games that are new for $19.99 or less, they have a list they will show you on their computer. Granted they might not want to do this, but they will. By the way I saw a listing where people were talking about how they purchased a new game from EB Games that was opened. It was opened because it was a store display copy (new) it was just not sealed. I would ask for a discount if they tried to sell me a display copy. The only reason they sell those is because they are sold out of the sealed ones and the display copy is all they have left. I hope this information helps, the games may not be the greatest out there, but for $9.99 you cannot go wrong for new copies. Thanks and if you guys find anymore deals keep posting them.

Anyone tried The Terminator? Is it worth spending $10 for it?

Of those three, only Buffy has gotten favorable reviews. Not surprisingly, it's also the hardest to find.

Now you can find a bunch of Buffys on Ebay for only 34.99, I think. Also, a TON of Metal Gear Solids for the same price. I'm sure its only a coincidence.

I think not. When I bought the last copy of Buffy the guy said someone called earlier and asked "How many copies?" they had.

The non-sealed copies aren't display copies. They are returned games since EB has a 7-day return policy. I'm pretty sure you can't get any discount for open copies.

Don't bother with Terminator. The game sucks. I returned the copy that I had.
Buffy is fun.

Technically, if someone returns a game, the store has to sell it as used and mark it as such. But who knows if they follow this rule.

I usually ask how many copies a store has just in case they have no hold policy. I want to make sure I get one.

Thanks for the Terminator info.

You shouldn't see Buffy anywhere for over $29.99. It was reduced to that recently......

I was just commenting on what I just saw on Ebay this morning. I checked Ebay first then I surfed over to DVDtalk. There were a bunch of Buffys then like 10 Metal Gears in a Row. Sure those prices were BuyItNows, and probably won't go for that price.

There have been a lot more listed on Ebay in the past few days. At least since I saw the first posting about the EB sales.

I looked now and one guy with a low feedback (probably not selling as a business) has 1 Buffy and 3 Metal Gears for sale. I wonder if you can walk in and buy their whole stock of a game.

I should go get a Metal Gear, but I just bought the system and NHL 2K3. Plus a controller, plus an optic cable, plus an advanced A/V pack. My wife would kill me if I bought something else.

my friend went to get terminator today and he was unable to get the 9.99 price because according to the EB guy, "microsoft raised the price back." I dont know the details for myself seeing as I was out of it most of the day after surgery. Hope this saves someone a trip.

Most EBs I've gone to have sold out on the Terminator anyways.

You can't keep playing NHL forever. I can only play a few games before I have to put it away. Besides for $19.99, MGS is a good buy. Don't know when you'll see that price again. Maybe a year from now from all the other retailers.

for ten bucks Serious Sam is worth it, I think its a pretty decent game to play. However Terminator I ended up trading in for Eternal Darkness on the GC!

I work at gamestop, so i just want to say a couple quick things.

1) The display copy is sold as being brand new since the disc hasnt done anything other then sit in a drawer since the day we got it in, while the case it out on the shelf. I've never had a customer complain about it, and there is no discount for the shelf copy. Usually its a hot selling title if all we have left is the shelf copy, so someone else will probably come in and buy it that same day anyways.

2) When someone takes advantage of the 7 day return policy on new games, we only take back the game if it is in brand new condition. Not a single mark or blemish or anything. We then sell it as new.

I'm not much of a reviewer, but....

I rented it, and ended up buying it with this 9.99 deal. It isn't that great, but the concept is really cool and there was something fun about it. I really only played it for about 60 minutes total though, so I can't give too much more detail. If I open it anytime soon, I'll add more detail.

The funny little editorial comment in the subject line has been quietly removed! The fun has left the forum.
