XBOX THPS4 Locking up?

Was just curious if anyone else had this problem. It only started happening after I ripped a new fresh collection of music cds to the HD. After the first time, I started backing up my game profile. The second (last) time it occurred, it was displayed as a damaged file. Not trying to give this game a bad wrap, it definitely rocks! I just wondered if anyone else here was experiencing this, and if there was a possible workaround.

Thanks!

I've played through about 7 levels and have about 300 songs uploaded on the hard drive and it hasn't locked up yet.

Interesting... I have about 40 songs on mine, and when it locked up, it was directly during the game saving, which I activated upon completing a particular challenge. Well, hopefully it doesn't happen again. I wonder if could be related to a previous problem I had with my XBox, in that it kept complaining about the DVD being dirty (it wasn't). I think a can of air spray solved that one.

My copy seems to be getting worse and worse. Mine locks up at the end of the loading metering for most levels. No scratches that I can tell would be an issue. I think I am going to exchange it for another copy to be sure. Save often.

If it helps...

The last time I locked was a little more serious, in that I couldn't get back to the main screen after several reboots. This went away after I went into my memory settings on the XBox and cleared out all the junk saves I didn't use anymore (especially the OXM entries). Then I was able to get back in (hopefully this is the last time) Maybe that might decrease your loading problems. Good luck.

That's a good idea, I never thought of that. My Xbox isn't having problems but a friend of mine can't get his to do anything but load up the boot screen, so maybe I'll go over and give that a shot.
